iraq is far from the chaotic place that the media portrays it,time and again soldiers and marines who come back from iraq are shocked to see that our media portrays the insurgents as winning but its far from the truth, for example our troops kill hundreds of insurgents everyday and the insurgency is getting weaker everyday, zarqawi is dead and alot of top insurgents are dead too.but best of all is that the majority of iraqis want the american troops to stay in iraq to liberate them from the disease of islamo fascists

Did we supply raw materials, technical expertise, fully assembled weapons, or nothing at all. I'm curious about what companies were involved, and which politicians were involved.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!"

Who would you suggest. The ones who work the cheepest? Pakistanis? The fiersest warriors? Zulus? Mexicans -readily available? It would seem to me that the rest of the world would look at the US as bunch of obese slackers who won't even get off their arsses to protect themselves. We should be ashamed to even consider the possibility. Its very different if someone comes to America legally and wants to join the armed forces and is thus granted citizanship after serving this countey. Outsoursing our military seems just a bit sleezy and risky. The Romans got so lazy that during the late empire when they were too fat to fight they recruiteed foreign soldiers to do their warring and the country completely collapsed. The Roman Empire lasted 1000 years however. We may nort make it that long!

Senator Biden Tells Bush NO MORE TROOPS FOR IRAQ!
Quote

[link to news.yahoo.com]

WASHINGTON - Incoming Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Joseph Biden, a potential Democratic presidential candidate, said Tuesday he would oppose any effort by President Bush to increase U.S troops in Iraq as part of a new war strategy.

Biden also announced he has summoned Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to testify before his committee next month to discuss the administration's new plan for Iraq as soon as it is made public.

The Delaware Democrat took advantage of a quiet holiday week to draw attention to his own proposal for Iraq, which includes beginning a drawdown of U.S. forces and finding a political settlement among the various ethnic factions there

If you do and you don't think we should be fighting for it, then answer these 2 questions

1. Have you sold you car/van/SUV etc yet to not use oil.

2. Would you be willing to give up all things made with or by oil?

If you are willing to revert back to colonial days, then lets stop drilling, and fighting, and buying oil.

bushs' militia (the american army) controls nothing except the street corner on which they are found. his puppet maliki hasnt got any militia to talk of and is thus irrelevant.
anything they call 'law' in baghdad ends with the next street where another militias law prevails.so to me bush is completely irrelevent in Iraq.

While women officers and enlisted personnel serve with distinction in the U.S. Armed Forces, women have never been subject to Selective Service registration or a military draft in America.

There have been three times in history that our government took it into consideration the possibility of requiring women to take part in a draft. During World War II, during the Carter Administration and again during the Clinton Administration when President Clinton asked the Secretary of Defense to update its mobilization requirements for the Selective Service System and, as a part of the effort, "continue to review the arguments for and against continuing to exclude women from registration now that they can be assigned to combat roles other than ground combat."

For all you young men out there...

Should females be required to register (and possibly serve in the military) the same as you for the draft?

The U.S. military, meanwhile, said seven more American soldiers had died, pushing the U.S. military death toll for the month to 90. With five days remaining in the month, December is already the second deadliest month for the U.S. military this year, behind the 105 soldiers killed in October.

In Washington, White House Deputy Press Secretary Scott Stanzel said Tuesday that President Bush grieves for each member of the armed forces who has died.

"The war on terror is going to be a long struggle," he said. "We will be fighting violent jihadists for the peace and security of the civilized world for many years to come."

What would you like to see happen in America in the next few years?
--
I would love to see Congress declare victory on Operation Iraqi Freedom and then let the Iraqis fight their own Civil War like America had to fight its Revolution for freedom. And then I would like to see us deal w/ N Korea and iran. Both w/ the same "Bomb them back to the Stone Age" strategys. We have enough firepower in the Sea of Japan right now to take out all of N Korea within a tiny time span; lets do it. And w/ Iran; lets stick 80,000 troops on the Israeli Border incase Iran tries to invade Israel, but those will be the only America boots on the ground. Let the US Navy and Air Force bomb the living hell out of every decent sizes Iranian city like we did in WWII w/ our enemys and lets see how long it takes them to surrender.(I give them a year tops)(At the same time Israel is handeling all ground warfare in Iran).
So yeah; I would love to see this happen. What would you like to see in the next, say, 3 years?
