The U.S. military, meanwhile, said seven more American soldiers had died, pushing the U.S. military death toll for the month to 90. With five days remaining in the month, December is already the second deadliest month for the U.S. military this year, behind the 105 soldiers killed in October.
In Washington, White House Deputy Press Secretary Scott Stanzel said Tuesday that President Bush grieves for each member of the armed forces who has died.
"The war on terror is going to be a long struggle," he said. "We will be fighting violent jihadists for the peace and security of the civilized world for many years to come."

That's a good question. I think I'm much older than most of you here. My father served during world war 2 and told me it was my duty to serve too. You would think our president would be teaching his kids the same thing. Anyway to ans. your question not everyone is cut out to serve in the military.

Well they really don't have to enlist. I don't even know if they could if they wanted to. Being the Presidents daughters could open up a great conflict of interests if certain situations arose. It's probably best they stay under the radar. Besides, doesn't the immediate family members of the President require assigned secret service members? If so they would look really funny traipsing all over the Iraq with the Bush girls.

i did no longer see any connection with a former President who had a Daughter volunteer to serve in the protection rigidity. How approximately Chelsea Clinton...did she serve in Bosnia? And why do human beings insist on making comparisons between the Iraq conflict and the three best wars in our background? And your final fact is strictly why human beings think of your unpatriotic given which you prefer to %. and choose comparisons employing the Civil conflict, WWI, and WWII while you shrink the efforts being positioned forth by employing our squaddies on the floor. i could have had greater comprehend on your view had you no longer concept it replaced into amazing to function that final fact.

Why do you care! The purpose of living in America and living under the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights is to provide the right to choose. I have served in the Marines for 9 years, as well as several of my family members. It is a choice. If we as Americans spent more time doing something for this country and not complaining then it would be a better place. You do not have to serve in the military, to support your country. But complaining does not help either!!!!

The privileged don't have to go off to war. They go into the National Guard, or get some deferment, or exemption. War is for the common Joe Blow.

They do not qualify with their criminal records. Just as most of America can not enlist, neither can they. You probably can't either. If you think you can, go to the nearest recruiting office and ask an Army recruiter if you are qualified.

Why should they volunteer for military service, they are
all right at what they are doing now and they don't have to do anything that they don't want to do.
