This is more of a political than a military question but lets look at some implications either way. Think about it closely and suppose a bit. He is hanged for his crimes against the people in his country. The Sunni's, are not happy, and escalate their attacks against the Shia's, and US troops. Now, we know that Iran has been sending people to aid either sect, and bump up their aid and personnel to take advantage of the timing of that hanging, and a US congress led by democrats. The idea is that they may be able to pressure congress through the media into an early withdrawal. This is precisely what Iran wants. And they want this for several reasons. But most significantly, is the fact that upon an early withdrawal, Iraq would be VERY vulnerable to take over by Iran and its ally in Syria, or at least an attempted one. Which causes Kuwait and Saudi Arabia quite a bit of indigestion, not mention Israel. Either way, it causes a huge instability in the region, so large in fact, that it would a terrible mistake to let things get too out of hand, or leave. Things are seldom perfect in nation building, and it takes time, but the consequences for not taking the responsibility while we are there are way too large.
Support the Troops, they are doing the job that no one else wants, propogated by a lot of failed policies, and a lack of UN intervention.

Although bringing back capital punishment I feel is ok is extreme cases, I very muich doubt hanging Sddam Hussain (or anyone), will make that much of a difference. There always seems to be someone coming up with some excuse for a war. Depressing thought I know, but war is now a fact of life.

I could say regrettably, sure. i do no longer wish that on all and sundry, yet till we take responsibilty for what we do, some people won't substitute or perhaps attempt to handle people appropriate. My in basic terms different be apologetic approximately is that he wasn't hung as quickly as achievable after the crimes have been committed. waiting a protracted time to place somebody to dying seems merciless, in it somewhat is very own way. ok, I additionally think of we could discover greater humane techniques of utilizing the dying penalty than striking, besides.

We should hang Saddam, but do the same thing right next to him with George Bush. One murderous criminal is just like another.

We should have blown his fuc*ing head off as soon as we found him in that dirty rat hole. I think when he is finally executed these followers and insurgents will slow down, because why then would they be fighting? Their grand leader has no hope of coming back into power. If we had killed him right off the bat maybe all this violence against the US troops would have stopped sooner.
But who knows, these crazy a$$holes think they're assured a place by Allah's side if they kill in the name of their religion.

Maybe for a day or even a few weeks, but in the end, you are either a terrorist or you are not. Terrorist will attack and kill people either way.
