I got pulled over on the Ohio turnpike and i got a citation. The officer said to call them in a week if they didn't call me first to see if i get a ticket? This so so odd to me and i don't understand what this means. I am not from ohio so i don't have to wait around and go to court or anything. This is my first time being pulled over.

In jail, or any kind of place where they hold people, how do they kill people? Like the gave Hussein death sentence by hanging, or the electric chair thing. But what is the most 'advanced' or modern way they kill people now?
(For a report)

i was a passenger in a car and my friend got pulled over for speeding. i was told to hand over my ID also, when i refused cuz i felt i did not do anything wrong i was told that i could go do jail for failure to provide ID and that is true here in AZ. i don't understand this, since he had no reason to ask for my ID. and no i don't have any warrents, i work for law enforcement. i just think that this is going to far with the rights of these officers to just harrass people for the sake of it.

How hard is it to stop and ask? I get tired of turning people in for trespassing all the time. We even have signs posted all around our property, with phone numbers on them, and still they just think they can do whatever they please. I know not all hunters are like this, but we seem to have more than our share in my area. It's hardly safe to walk outside lately.

It doesn't give the accused the right to face their accuser. What if you're driving down the street and your speedometer is a little off, and you end up getting a photo ticket for 41 in a 40. Or are cameras built in with a little "forgiveness"? Any comments from current or former law enforcement are welcome.

I have not lived at that certain address in over two months and along with the letter I got was also a ticket saying that I failed to abate! I only stayed at that address for five days, and I am so very worried! I honestly don't even know what failing to abate is.

I recently found a crackhead in my basement a couple nights ago. The S.O.B was hanging in my basement smoking crack so I chase this fiend out of my basement with a bat. So the next time this intruder comes to my basement again should I chase him again with the bat or call the police?

As you know, one young man was "supposedly" randomly checked for ucla student ID, turns out he was one of the Iranian people in the library (you must be ucla student after 11pm).
he apparently did not have his id so he WAS LEAVING the library when the UCPD grabbed his arm and he asked them to release him.
HE WAS TASERED, then asked to get up.. When you get tasered once, you might not be able to move for up to 5 minutes.. not to mention he was tasered over 5 times and even exclaimed that he has a medical condition

This is very abusive and luckily this now understood as a UCLA student has i believe 80 witnesses
i really hope these police get sued

if you want to debate this topic with me please dont hesitate by messaging me on AIM-sofreshcoolbutta

Do you now understand why this is so vile and unnecessary by the UCPD?

Do backgroung investigators have access to past law enforcment applications that I have filled out? In other words, If I put I used marijuana 20 times on the Sheriff application, and on the LAPD application I put down that I only used marijuana 3 times, will they find out? Stuff like that will they find out?

Or do you think it happens more than some people think? Do you think that most people who are arrested get what they deserve as far as how they are treated by police?

I was driving down the I664 to Hampton in Virginia when I got pulled over by a state trooper and given a reckless driving ticket for doing 80mph in a 55mph zone. It was 1:25 am in the morning. I gotta be at work at 7 am so I was just in a bit of a hurry to get home and get some sleep. Well I didn't get any sleep after this happened because I couldn't quit freaking out.
The main reason being that this is my 3rd ticket in 6 months. The previous two were for speeding. The other cars were doing like 70 mph. I just happened to be in the far left lane and passed the state trooper's car, which was parked against the median. I didn't realize I was going 80 until I saw the lights in my rear view mirror. Why? because all the other cars were travelling just a couple miles per hour below mine!! The possible penalties for this misdemeanor are mind boggling! I can't quit thinking about it! I'm stressed out, paranoid, and unable to focus at work! Any advice on how to lessen this charge would help!!

My son was charged with this he is a minor.
He entered an unlocked storage shed, the door was open.
According to the police entering is the same as breaking in.
I can not find this as a definition anywhere.
Does anyone else think entering an unlocked open door is the same as breaking into a building.
Would this not be more likely trespassing?
There were no signs posted.
It was a storage shed at a baseball diamond.

If he fails to mention about signing the ticket can I get out of the ticket. I have witnesses (2) that can verify the officer did not mention to me about signing the ticket. I did not have the chance to agree to signing the ticket or refuse to sign the ticket. Should I try to fight it?
