In jail, or any kind of place where they hold people, how do they kill people? Like the gave Hussein death sentence by hanging, or the electric chair thing. But what is the most 'advanced' or modern way they kill people now?

Lethal injection is used in almost all cases in the United States, it has the least charges against it of being inhumane.

There has recently been issue taken with lethal injection, however. A group of anesthesiologists refused to take part in one in California since they felt it may be a violation of the Hippocratic oath to not stop the procedure if the inmate appeared to be in pain.

In many states the procedure is actually performed by paramedics since doctors may be able to lose their license for taking part.

Since this is for a report I quoted wikipedia (links below) for a starting point. The comments below are what the United States does. For other countries refer to the links below. Generally in the U.S. lethal injection is the most common forms of execution.......the "most humane" form.......and seems to be the singular method for the past two years. Again, methods vary by country (and state).

"As a method for capital punishment, it gained popularity in the twentieth century as a "more humane" form of execution meant to supplant methods such as electrocution, hanging, firing squad, gas chamber, or decapitation; the actual humaneness of the technique has been debated. It is now the most common form of execution in the United States: every American execution in 2005 was induced by lethal injection."

However, some states have abolished the death penalty. As quoted, "As of 2006, twelve U.S. states have legislatively abolished the death penalty, and others have specifically prohibited certain methods of execution, e.g. by electrocution, by hanging, etc. The Supreme Court has ruled that the application of the death penalty, in certain circumstances — such as the execution of a minor under the age of 18, or of a mentally handicapped person, or for any crime other than murder - is unconstitutional, regardless of the existence of other aggravating circumstances."

Hope this helps you start off your report.
