1 was a mexican legal immigrant who was punched in the faced several times after he gave up

Probably more often than the actual criminals in the videos you watch on U tube.
For once, why not try to get the whole story.
Quit trying to justify criminal behavior by saying the police beat someone. If someone were trying to take your gun away from you while resisting arrest, you would probably use any means necessary to get them in custody and keep yourself safe.
And the person getting punched is not an illegal, he is a well known gang member. His own friends were yelling at him to stop resisting, and he still kept trying to reach for the officer's gun.

If not at the present time,probably in the past. All major police depts. have at one time been investigared for civil rights violations by the feds, or other misconduct .

i think they are but we must remember that police officers are human beings also, and many times they do take things too far however, they have a very dangerous job and i suspect if you or i were put in the same situation, self preservation would kick in and we too might go to far.
