It is a bit disturbing that you specifically wish to buy an "ARMED" policeman's uniform. It is fine to go to a fancy dress store to get a policeman's outfit, but if you are after the real thing, there are a couple of things you should know.
1. Impersonation a police officer will land you in prison for about 6 months.
2. Carrying an imitation firearm in public will land you a further 5 years in prison under section 19 of the Firearms Act - look it up.

Think carefully before you go ahead with this one.

Walk up to an Armed Policeman. Offer him £500 and a bag of Coke! He will accept it straight off. No worries.
If you believe Scotland Yard, they are all dodgy and bent.
After all the Met's do a mean Laundry Service already!

Karen S take it tongue in cheek, like everyone else! "Chill (Old) Bill"

Simon T you need to learn to relax. As you know the likelihood of him getting the real deal is slight. Even websites have security checks for such things before purchase is allowed. American Websites are particularly heavy on security for obvious reasons.

PS I've given you both a thumbs up, because of cause you are perfectly correct within the definition of the law of this land.

There are speciality stores that sell them, but there are severe penalties for false impersanation of police officers. A visit to "Huntsville Hill" or the closest prison to you would be quickly put on the agenda for your day.

Fancy Dress Costume shop, you can get a pretty yellow wig while you're there. That gets you out of the 'impersonating a police officer' charge!

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to impersonate a police officer and it is also an offence I think to own a police uniform.

Could do with a serving officer clearing this one up though.

Try the Internet. You can get just about anything you want via the web, including guns, mace, electric stun thingys and lots more. You'll need a chain mail vest - this stops people stabbing you.
