Why do some Catholics support illegal immigration when the church's social teaching disagrees with this position?

Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 2241
"Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens."

"Everyone has the right of economic initiative; everyone should make legitimate use of his talents to contribute to the abundance that will benefit all and to harvest the just fruits of his labor. You are flooding here in the thousands then there is also the folk coming here via the e.u.
Dont mean to be rude but how big doe you think our Island is?
Our children are suffering in education because they just havent got the staff to cater for the amount of people that are now in schools.
Every school where i live are having to teach two different age groups in one class which is wrong as different ages study at different levels.
Also we can no longer get a house move as there are no empty houses to move to.
We cant get jobs especially with agencies as the e.u residents have took them all.
i have a child to look after and it took me a year to find a job.
Why cant you find some where else to go and scrounge from?
Or stay where you are.

L.A. marchers demand immigration rights. Don't even have citizenship yet they demand rights. How do these people justify their "demands"? Do they not have any moral values? One simply cannot march into another's country and "demand" rights. What mexicans are doing is the equivalent of someone breaking down the door of your home and coming inside stating "I'm here to live off your resources and there's nothing you can do about it".

Western societies always seem to blame ethnic minorities for the problems in their societies even though they they forget that they create most of the problems that those ethnic minorities are faced with. stop this nonsense, how can you talk about social cohesion and integration in your societies when you allow all forms of discrimination against ethnic minorities because of the simple fact that you hate living with strangers.

After I married my babys father, he pressured me into filing for his citizenship. We filed the papers with a Immigration Attorney but I was never informed on the process. SHORT STORY... I REGRET IT! Schools teach history about the African-American Slavery, Japanese Interment Camps, and The Jewish Holocaust. So why is it then, that they do not teach about the Mexican Deportation?

It will stop the poverty stricken people from entering the USA and sucking of the American people. We as Americans can't help the whole world anymore . They need to help themself and by asking a small fee for a work visa is not a bad idea, if you want to come to American its not free and its a small price to pay to be an American. The only people you will see against this is the illegals and others that wants what America have to offer but don't want to help build America.

I think this should have been done years ago, without any hesitation. Now the illegals are marching for immediate citizenship again. Do you think they're demands will succeed? I certainly hope not. I mean we ALREADY HAVE laws on the books, but they just aren't being enforced because the government refuses to do so. Why not take all that money which is being spent to try to come up with "Comprehensive" plan and just enforce current laws? If they would stop the influx of illegals into the USA then we would be saving MILLIONS not having to foot the illegals bills that they don't pay.

OR is the illegals amnesty bill just another foot towards erasing the borders and the development of the North American Union between Mexico, USA and Canada? Look at the facts: the DHS is UNDER the SPP program!

Have they not heard of:
Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo: $15 million (and the US desolved a $3.25 million debt owed to the US)
Gadsden Purchase: $10 million
and the USA honored ALL land grants to mexican citizens after these purchases. i.e. they let the people who owned the land to remain on their land!

Is it not the case that there are good and bad in all races.There are just as many criminal elements within white,yellow, olive races, as there are in Afro Carribean, and Asian communities. The sooner that the whole world sees that bad/evil, is the dividing factor not colour of skin the better, otherwise I can see that there will be total Anarchy worldwide.

Why as americans do we think that we have the right to travel to any country we like but that noone should come into ours? i mean do you know how hard and expensive it is to get a visa even to just visit but yet we can walk in and get a passport for less than 150 and in very little time!!! how much sense does that make?!
