Frankly I don't give a damn where they come from, Poland, wherever. We need all hands on deck. The economy is booming, just in case you had not noticed that. London is still a major boom city and Europes largest construction site. Who the hell is going to do all of that work? Certainly not the Brits. Not alone anyway. Here's where the Poles come in. They work flat out all day, never complain, do not go off sick, are not interested in the one or two hour lunch break most Brits seem to think they're entitled to. I know because I have worked with a whole bunch of Poles in the cleaning game. They're brilliant and never ever satisfied until the place is spotless. Bring on the Poles and anyone else who wants to work hard and get paid trash money, £5 per hour.
Not only do Poles work hard all day, they split their money and send almost half of it home to their mothers. How many Brits do that? None I suspect.

where you stated "Also we can no longer get a house move as there are no empty houses to move to." is all bull crap...in statistics, only 8% of the land in England has been built on...we still have the remaining 92 % left..spare..of no use what so ever. This is a fact so believe it..our british government are crying about houses..when there is 92 % of our land still lying there doing nothing. British Government is a load of bull.
secondly, "We cant get jobs especially with agencies as the e.u residents have took them all." ive heard this questiion so many times by british people. for an example take the Polish people that come to our country. What job do the mjaority of them do ? ? They are BUS DRIVERS. they get paid so little for their job....so statistically and technically they are doing the best for our country..working hard for us...why have they come here ? Because no British ignorant plonka wants to do the job as a BUS DRIVER. same with Public Toilet Cleaners. they are all foreign...these foreigners are helping us by doing the jobs we dont wanna do...so what are you complaining about eh ?
with the school, every single child in this world is entitled to an education..and a good one..whether they are black, brown, white, green, pink or yellow. Whether they are christians, muslims, sikhs, jews, hindus, budhists.
Hope it helps...i hate my sodding country at times !
Please understand what i have written..i took my time doing it.
tanx yo...tek i e z yo !

Do you think that it maybe took you a year to find a job because you are an ignorant, uneducated person. Look at the spelling mistakes for a start.
Did you know that immigrants cant actually 'scrounge' off the state? They have to prove that they are self-supporting before they can emmigrate here?
Schools have always had the problem of too few staff and big class sizes - I started school over twenty years ago and went to schools in areas where there was no immigration and there were still big class sizes.
If you arent a scrounger why do you rely obviously on a council house? Or have you earnt the right to live in one? There is no housing and schools understaffed because the government doesnt fund them as much as they should. Do you know one of the reasons why? Because they are too busy paying compensation to criminals who think that they human rights are affected by being in prison after committing crimes. Or because they are paying too much benefits to junkies and layabouts (who are usually the ones complaining about immigrants).
The only people who can move to this country and get benefits/housing are asylum seekers who are escaping torture and murder - how cruel hearted and ignorant do you have to be to turn them away?
Grow up and ask a decent question - one that you actually have researched and not just plucked out of the air

im from ireland and were getting the over-spill from britain. i've worked with polish czechs slavs hungarians russians other east europeans and africans and turks. but the operative word there is worked!. if they come to ireland to make as much money as they can by working then go home then fair play to them. now the town i'm from belfast the city centre used to be plagued by winos tapping!, long gone is the cheery red nosed face of a down and out now replaced by a foreigner begging (disguised as a big issue seller). i had to get verbally nasty with two of them because they tried to distract me and my missus at the cash machine. if they want to work then work! if they want to beg they can fuc'k off back on the next boat. i was out of work for a year i did'nt claim any benefits. whats so stupid is belfast is the last place on earth to expect an easy ride. the two sides hate each other, an immigrant beggar is going to get even shorter shrift.

Samantha, I'm an immigrant and I just wanna tell you that I am truly sorry to have disturbed you so much. I promise you I will stay here for 1 more year only. I understand that I'm taking so much space and I've stolen jobs from English girls (I never really thought about it), but as I won't be in the UK for very long, I'm sure you as a very nice woman will forgive me. I swear to you everything I've done wasn't intended to hurt you in any way as I am generally a nice person. I've never realized that by just living I could cause so much pain to somebody. Please accept my apologies.

What about all the Brits that go and live abroad - five and a half million according to the BBC -
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/5239054.stm
I am sorry that it was hard for you to find a job, but immigrants are paying taxes not scrounging benefits - whereas you were looked after by benefots for a year, and will no doubt still be receiving child support, tax credits etc, - which is right, but it is immigrants that help to pay for all that.
Again, you say that there is not enough staff in the schools, that sounds like an argument to employ immigrant teachers from English-speaking countries.
As for England being a small island, firstly the island is Britain, not just England, and secondly it is not that small or even especially crowded.
There are many problems in this country to do with lack of good spending on roads, schools, council housing, and too much speculation in underused or even empty property. That's not the fault of immigrants!

Whatever your initial thoughts on immagrants, the plain truth is that we couldn't do without them as we wouldn't have a big enough work force. What we should be doing is allowing only people in for the jobs we require them for and only people without a criminal record. We then need to do something about employers who get rid of staff they have because they can employ an immagrant for less. Unlike Mr Sceptic thinking of people not wanting to work, there are lots of people out there that would like to but can't as immagrants are willing to work for a lot less. What a Polish person earns over here is a small fortune in Poland, and they need only work for about 6 months, then they can go back to Poland with a small fortune and, I believe, can also claim any tax paid back. Seems a little unfair to me.

It seems churlish to point out that England is not an island, but forms part of an island, not all immigrants go to England or the UK, inadequate service provision is the responsibility of the government and it is contradictory to accuse people of scrounging and taking jobs in the same rant.

Interesting question. Did England realise that it was one of the smallest islands when it decided to colonize the world? For such a small nation it certainly has quite a brutal and cruel past.

Has it occured to you that these immigrants might get the jobs because they're more qualified and more willing to work than you?
You are simply wrong about the education system. We are undergoing contraction due to a fall in the birth-rate about 10 years ago - there are fewer children in schools at present and schools are closing. Any staff shortage is due to a skills shortage, not immigration. In fact immigration is helping as overseas teachers are being drafted in. Are you a qualified teacher? No? Then we're better off with an immigrant teacher, aren't we?
It's been common practice to teach more than one age group together for years in primary schools. Nothing to do with immigration.
How can you call people who are here working and paying tax scroungers? I far prefer them to some of the workshy, benefit reliant indigenous population.
It's sad when someone feels it's easier to blame other people than to accept some responsibility for their own situation.
