The majority of people in this section of YAnswers are not at the border. Many have not or ever will see the death, desperation, and fear that takes place down here on a daily basis. Reading news articles or watching television reports doesn't hold a candle to actually experiencing the problem first hand at it's most dangerous level.
Being a rancher, I have had my fill of it. In the beginning I was sympathetic. Then it began to wear on me, and blatant disrespect towards my property and my family, never ceased They keep coming. Twenty years later and I am sympathetic no more.

Same as you , no I'm not for it and never will be . I believe the best thing that this country ever did is what President Eisenhower did in the "50's " , and that was , " Operation Wet- back " .
They removed all the illegals and sent them home and we were good for over 30 yr , till they opened the borders .
When Corporations decided that they could make money hiring illegals , it became a large campaign to encourage them to break our laws and come here by the thousands .
Corporations don't care about whats best for America or Americans , to them it's all about the bottom line .
It's the money honey !!!!!!!!
They have talked our Government into believing that also .

No, have never been for it. It's a very bad idea and will serve no useful purpose except to cave in to illegals and make the problem 'go away' by declaring the problem not to be a problem any more, yet it will still remain as a problem. There should be nothing ever enacted that even remotely resembles amnesty for criminals.
Would you advocate amnesty for bank robbers?

People were split on this issue back In 1986,when TED KENNEDY said that It would be a ONE TIME AMNESTY.... The AMERICAN PEOPLE will NOT be fooled again. The only way another amnesty will be offered Is If It Is crammed down the AMERICAN PEOPLES throats by the ELITES In our government that pander for the ILLEGALS votes, and the corporations enormous greed.....

i was never for amnesty. i felt sorry for the people who was coming here illegally. i would say whats the harm in them being here. until i started coming to this sight and saw how they was threatening Americans and saying we took their land. we didn't take their land, we payed for it. i don't take to bully's and terrorist threatening peoples lives. all this is going to do is create a war with the illegals crossing the border and the Americans kicking azz again. because of the way they talk to use and treat America and it's citizens has turned me against illegals, mostly from the south of the border.

Answer: My father supported the efforts of Eisenhower's successful plan...My own misgivings that Reagan's plan would lack enforcement proved correct. Amnesty for illegal invading aliens has been a disaster on civilized societies since the beginning of mankind...Unlike America, Mexico has learned from history...And have worked for generations to repeat it...To the end of and the destruction of North America.

No.....I've not been for a blanket amnesty. I too was around to see the Regan fiasco. At one point I was softening because I was aware of the problems the NAFTA etc. caused. I did consider the possibility of a few deserving some sort of consideration. But when they started saying we NEEDED them, they were just doing work LAZY AMERICANS wouldn't do, SLAVE labor, who'd mow our lawns and raise our kids or clean our toliets........demand this, demand that.....it ended it for me. Then when all the rest came to light (Atzlan, NAU, LaRaza, Mecha etc.) and their hate became totally apparent......and when I realized it was more impossible to think this government could ever screen or beleive these people than it would be to just bus them out......it ended it for me completely. The march sealed it for me to where there was no "negotation" any longer.

I wasn't for it when it was tried in 1987, and history has proved that it was an absolute failure. It did not reduce illegal immegration, it increased it. Anyone who thinks Amnesty would solve any of our problems today need to do their history.
