Two truckers were arrested and a "drop house" was raided in immigrant smuggling cases in the El Paso area this week, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman said on Friday.
On Wednesday morning, the Border Enforcement Security Task Force, or BEST, stopped two 18-wheelers on Interstate 10 near Vado after agents spotted the drivers letting two men into one cab and another man into the other cab at a truck stop, ICE spokeswoman Leticia Zamarripa said.

The three immigrants, found hiding in the sleeper sections, told investigators they each paid $1,800 to be smuggled to Los Angeles. Truck drivers Julio Cesar Cazabal Gutierrez, 34, and Javier Nolasco Sanchez, 26, were arrested on charges of conspiracy to transport undocumented aliens, which is punishable by up to five years in prison.

On Tuesday, ICE agents discovered 16 immigrants in an apartment in the 1100 block of Seventh Street in El Paso's Segundo Barrio, officials said. Agents arrested alleged smugglers Iris Guereca, 20, of El Paso, and Rene Raul Taylor Lopez, 20,
and Francisco Alejandro Lopez Vasquez, 21, who are Mexican citizens in the U.S. illegally.
The immigrants were from the Mexico City area and paid $1,500 to $2,000 to be taken to California, Wisconsin and other states, officials said.

Most of the immigrants were returned to Mexico.

I read that they are were only certain specialty jobs that the H1B was good for. How can a immagrant holding a H1B visa be a supervisor at a large factory were all of the rest of the supervisors barely have a high school diploma and none have a college degree.

Isn't this a illegal act for the company and the visa holder?

My fiance has been working in the U.S. for a few years with his H1B (also just had it renewed), and we'll be getting married this June. Are there any more steps that we need to take before getting married, or is the filing for residency done after the marriage? Does anyone know if there is more paperwork to be done beforehand? Thank you in advance for all your help.

Please, tell me. If they are so desperate to come here, why wave their flag and bash the political leaders? I have never understood this. It benumbs me, when they complain about their country or something, and then come here, perhaps illegally, perhaps not, and wave their native country's flag around. I'm sorry but this is America. The ONLY flag that should wave here is Old Glory. Not Mexico's, not England's, not Cuba's, not France's. It's very simple. They chose to come here, and take advantage of our beloved country and then want to complain about it. Why?

Thank you for ansering. It just pains me to see this.

She lives with some of our family members and both her parents have died. Unfortunately, she has been physically abused and she has only an elementary-school education. It is very hard for her to get into school because she has passed the age requirements and her home situation isn't helping: she does nothing all day and she hasn't left her house in more than a year. She's a wonderful young woman who's had her share of trials and she desperately wants to go back to school. I would like her to be able to live in the US with me... is there any way for me to adopt her even though she is an adult? What immigration concerns should I be aware of? Even if I can't adopt, does anyone have any suggestions?

In poorer nations, why should people have kids if they cannot support them. It doesn't seem fair to burden the child like that. Not to mention everyone else. I can see having one kid, because children are the future and wonderful, but after one. If you can't support kids, you shouldn't have them. Why should you burden the world like that.
