there are allot of illegal people in the U.S from Mexico. There are other illegal people here too not only Mexican. I think there are more illegal Mexican people here than any other race. i cant even get a job without learning Spanish first. All the jobs in my field require you to be bilingual and in my area where I live the bilingual is Spanish. i also know allot of Arabian and Polish illegal immigrants. The majority of allot of families whether they are illegal or not are working poor. I am not illegal and we hardly make enough to pay the bills and rent.
My BF had a friend that is illegal and so is his wife and they have 4 kids. All the kids are legal since they were born in the U.S. The father works at a hot dog stand. He works very very hard to provide for his family. They get food stamps and WIC.
We all have to do what we have to do to survive and make ends meet. I am not racist but the only thing I wish is that every one speak English in the U.S.

The most common type of illegal immigration is "sneaking over the border", followed by overstaying a visa!
Now let's think this out ... who would be sneaking over the border ... Canadians? Asians (world class swimmers only!) Europeans (once again .... world class swimmers only!)
My vote goes to the Mexicans (and those crossing the Mexican/US border, whatever the nationality!)
Seriously, Illegals from where-ever p*** me off! Be they white, yellow, black or brown, if they ain't legal they should go DOWN!
But to "put a face" on illegal immigration ... why not Hispanic? Are most of the illegals WHITE? Are they BLACK (dang, can't call them "African-American" if they ain't legal Americans, can we?) Are they yellow (or Asian, to be politically correct)? Then let's look at who is the biggest "champion" of the cause of the illegal alien ... The Black caucus in the US legislature? NO! The White caucus of the US legislature? (as if any such entity would be allowed to exist!) NO! The Hispanic caucus of the US legislature? NOW you got it!
Just looking at the situation, with my eyes wide open! My ancestors came here legally, learned the language, tried to fit in ... why doesn't everyone who wants to come here do the same?

At this point in time most are from Mexico, their the ones streaming over our border right now, and in Mexican neighborhoods you see tons of strollers with babies, where ever their are Mexicans, strollers follow. You must be ignorant not to notice all the talk about illegal immigrants from Mexico and south America don't you watch the news, don't you see them standing on street corners looking for work, Daaaaaaaam ! you must be blind and deaf.

they assume that all immigrants came from mexico becuase is the closet border country to the u.s. other then canada but hey they get visa to get in here. also because hispanics make most of immigrants in the u.s. but anyhow, i've know at people who are immigrants and are not mexicans. is like when people think all latinos are mexicans but in reality not only becuase latinos have brown doesnt mean they are mexicans . example me i'm salvadorean and hondurean that doesnt make mexican but people always assume i am.but they choose to stay ignorant becuase they dont want to learn. and by the way illegal immigrants help the u.s. economy becuase they would work less for the jobs that the u.s. citizens dont want to do i.e. picking the fields, cleaning houses, your garden, etc.

Since they border with our country I think more people associate that term with people from mexico, and, correct me if im wrong, they are the largest immigrated population in the usa (legal of not) and i hate to say it immigrants from mexico are the biggest problem we face (immigration wise) since we share a border its easier for them to be here and take advantage of our system, its a bit harder to get here if there is an ocean in your way

Immigrants come from many countries not only Mexicans. Most of the immigrants in America came from Ireland, UK, Africa and China.

It's not ignorance - it's stereotype and prevalence. The only ignorance that I see in it is when they assume all Central/South American immigrants are Mexican.
It also depends on region. In California, immigrants will stereotypically not be just Hispanic, but Asian as well. In Miami, it's Cubans.
