My girlfriend has just moved here on a tourist visa for 90 days and we would like be able to have her stay longer and perhaps get married. When she entered the country the Customs People interviewed her for 3 hours and told her that if she and I were going to try to get married while she was here that they would send her back now.

We might like to do this or at least extend her stay as well as be able to make it so she could work while she was here. We thought we could extend her visa by going to Canada for a weekend as we live in Seattle and this would be easy to do. We now are afraid that they would not let her back in as she has already been maybe black listed from her first entry.

Any suggestions on a way we could extend her stay and perhaps being able to work while she is here would be helpful.

If you could suggest websites for research on this that would be great too, anything would be helpful.

She is from Sweden and the last I checked the US has always liked them.

Thanks

When was the last time you saw an orthadox jew behind a counter trying to sell you something, or working any job? How about his wife or children? They do not pay Federal Tax and use all of the services reserved for those that do. How come only Mexicans get targeted with these abuse (even when they are false). I guess its ok for the jews, they are LEGAL.

It was actually being lobbied in Washington DC to get guillotines legalized for governmental use! The states that hold these guillotines are in fact GEORGIA & MONTANA. The information I had received was that 15, 000 or 30,000 guillotines had been shipped to Georgia as well as Montana for safe keeping until such a time as they are needed. (I don't recall the exact number. It's been a while. However, I do believe it was 15,000 guillotines for each storage facility.)

This is factual, so what is our Govewrnment up to? Answers please.

The is posted in immigration for a reason.

the government dares to try and pass bills like HR 4437 after they've murdered the peoples culture, after they keep the people in extreme poverty so they can rob them of their resources in cooperation with the countries' corrupt governments? You still dare to blame these people for all of your countries ill's? You dare to say that these "illegals" as you call them kill so many of your people when in fact you've killed millions upon millions by bleeding them for their natural resources and cooperating with their governments (which you probably hand picked yourselves) to keep them starving and poor?

I live in Buffalo, NY near the Canadian border. It was on our local news today (it was also on CNN, FOX, etc) that a man was trying to swim across the Niagara River to get into the United States (illegally) from Canada. The current started to pull him towards the power generating station, so the Canadian coast guard rescued him. Once he was back on shore (on the Canadian side) the CANADIAN police arrested him for attempting to cross the international border illegally.

It's really rare for a Canadian to illegally enter the U.S., but what I find surprising is that it was the Canadian police who arrested him. If the Canadian police can stop people illegally entering the U.S. why can't the Mexican police?

what about the American-Mexicans?

They did after all invent the zero and the decimal. They had plumbing while the Europeans still threw their crap out on the streets. They were oppressed and decimated by both the white Spaniards and their mestizo descendants who tried to be white Spaniards. Their country was taken from them, their women raped and their children killed. And now other countries want to come and bleed their natural resources and still dare to pin the problems of their country on their emigrants? The least they deserve is a holiday.

Bush seems to be the softest on the issue of illegal immigration, under his watch more illegals have come to America than under Clinton, so why all the hate libs? You should be thanking him for trying to secure amnesty for all your southern amigos!

Hello!

My fiance and I have a problem and don't quite know where to start.

I am from Germany and live in the US and have the greencard.
My fiance is dutch and lives in Holland.

We want to be together and are looking for a way to enable him to come over here and work here.
We spoke to a few people and the conclusion seems to be that a company here in the US must want to hire him and apply for a working Visa for him.

Does anyone have ANY idea on how we could get started?
Which company would go through the extra trouble of applying for a working Visa?

My fiance has a Masters In Urban Planning from the University of Amsterdam, but after that started working in varies offices. He has worked for Insurance companies, has worked in connecting companies with clients and the other way around, and some of his positions included assitant responsibilities, and he is familiar with all the normal office computer programs (ie, excel, word, and so on)
