Or is it just the sad Illegal immigrants that come here for a better life?

Illegal = illegal. There is no way to pass judgement upon this statement.

If we can't even answer the questions ourselves (and I imagine most of us legal citizens can't) what right do we have to force immigrants to know trivial information that we ourselves don't even know ?

Let see, TEXAS could be SOUTH OKLAHOMA, California could be Orange state, NEW MEXICO could be New Border State., etc, etc. just make up an AMERICAN NAME. Even America is ITALIAN.

i am a regustered nurse with Irish Nursing Bord, who is currently not in ireland got a job offer. In this case from where we
apply for Green card? Green Card is must to enter
ireland or the Creen Card we can secure once we reach
Ireland?

If its ok, that we can secure green card once we reach
Ireland, then what we need for a Visa to enter
ireland? A job offer from employer is enough or needs
a work permit from Irish Govt Dept?

I filed for my daughter I-130 when I was Legal Resident (Green Card) and she was single. Today I received Affidavit of Support letter asking for $70.00 fee to be sent to St Louis, MO. Looks like her case is now current. Now my question is that I am U. S. Citizen and she is married with 2 kids. Is she still eligible to migrate under the I-130 I filed in 1998?

I've heard people on both sides debate illegal immigration, but I have yet to hear what the steps are for doing it legally.

I have heard some hearsay and it involves Mexican citizens having to bribe their government to help them legally get through and that there is a long waiting list.

Is any of this true?

Has anyone here legally become a U.S. citizen under these circumstances without first entering the U.S. and breaking an immigration law?

More specifically, what exactly is the process if you were to immigrate to Israel. How difficult is it to adjust to Israeli life? How long does the process take? Do you have give up US citizenship? Is there a citizenship test? A waiting period between getting a resident visa and citizenship?

Do you or don't you agree that English as a second language should be a course for children , in elementary school, who were born in the United States?

I, for one, believe that if one is born in the US, English should be the primary language. If the family chooses to only speak their native language, i.e Arabic, Spanish,Swahili, French, etc, we should not waste resources to teach the children "English as a Second Language."

What do you think?
