You don't have to speak english.
If you want to keep your opportunities limited just use your own language, thats your right.
If you would like to improve your opportunities here in America speak english.
Its your decision.
Think about it.

Is this a serious question or just a jab at the way southerners speak?
Regardles, If you choose to live somewhere you should make an effort to learn and respect the culture of those around you. When I decided to live in Mexico the first thing I did was make an effort to learn Spanish. I had a very hard time respecting other ex-pats that I met that couldn't communicate at all in Spanish after having lived there for years. I know it's not easy to learn another language, so all I expect is an effort.

Yes I do. I am all for anyone who wants a better life for themselves and their families. If you feel you could have that by living in America, more power to you. I just feel you could put forth some effort to learn the language. There are many non-English speaking people who live in this country that refuse to learn the language, and I think that is a slap in the face. This is America, true, you have every right to live here if you wish because this is a free country. But, if I were to move to another country be it Germany, Japan, or Timbuktu, I would at least try to conform to there way of living.

Just because someone may speak with an accent, it does not mean that they do not speak English. And you are just as racist and biggoted as those you are speaking against! If you don't like it here, then why do you stay?
I live in the south, and I am an educated person who speaks English. However, I have nothing against those that don't. You can look at my answers, I just answered someone who thinks that anyone who doesn't speak English should be deported. I wholeheartedly disagree with that. But then you wouldn't understand that I suppose as you are just as closed minded as those who say that you should speak only English.
