Everyone is complaining about the war in Iraq, G.W. Bush, and the war on terror(just to name a few things), why not try to change it?

The line worker is subject to drug testing - the political elites and the CEO's do not

Coperate interests are always addressed by governments - the poor the working class and the middle are left in a line up waitiing for representation

It does not seem to matter which party is in power

1 % of the population has 90 % of the money they are unseen and wield massive powers over governments (plural not singular)
Is this nation and others like it ruled by an unseen class of unelected persons
Or is this nation and others like it ruled by our elected officals
Being Canadian I think I have an advantage over the US citizen
I am used to hearing titles - Sir Wilfred Laurier is on the five dollar bill
Her Excelenency the Governor General of Canada -
All ear marks of the old class system when the elites of our land did not hide
I believe they are still there the American not used to these titles may miss the reality that is or at least was harder to miss

Hundreds of protestors have demonstrated outside Downing Street calling for the restoration of democracy in Pakistan. It was organised to encourage the British government to put more pressure on the Pakistani president's regime.

Why are the protestors not demonstrating outside the Pakistan embassy? What form do the protestors believe this British Government 'pressure' should take?

When election time comes would it not be in our best interest when we vote, to go down the ballot and vote NO for all judges that have been on the bench for a certain amount of time? In our democracy power brings money, crime and corruption.

I posted what is the preamble of the declaration of independence, and everyone posted the preamble of the constitution. Well my professor told us to memorize the preamble of the declaration of independence.... but if there is no preamble it could be some kind of trick or something. If you know what it is please post a link or what it actually says. Thanks, DONNA

On "Have I Got News for you" on bbc1, i've heard comments insulting the Government, muslims, USA, the Pri-minister, the President and even racist remarks and they haven't been done once for it but yet if something like that happens on Channel 4, Big Brother for example the press is there right away and it's not long before the police and that are involved and the odd thing is the BBC is actually a government owned set of channels and seems to be the only channels getting away with this.
Could this be because of the government owning the BBC?

Well, look at the history of the United States. Not one of our founders, not even Alexander Hamilton, desired to have the federal government engaging in things like a ponzi scheme that is supposedly an insurance program (what is commonly known as Social Security) or having the federal government control public school curriculum from the Department of Education. Programs like these are blatantly in violation of the Constitution, but are explained away by the nonsense of a "living, breathing Constitution" (which Britain does have and which the Founders clearly did not intend America to have, as they revolted in opposition to that very type of Constitution).

As the history of the United States shows that government will inevitably grow to massive sizes, does this make limited government utopian? If so, then shouldn't everybody be an anarchist so that we don't end up living under somebody like Hitler or Stalin at some point in the future?

I think it's time to open the phone lines so the government monitors at least 50% of our daily calls. People say downright mean things on the phone about other people and honestly I am sick of it.

Let's petition the government to keep us line. (I don't mean me though, as I already AM in line, but good people like me have to suffer because some idiots abuse their freedom.)

Who is with me?

I've written to Congressman McCotter and gotten no response, a friend told me that the congressman for your district should help you but I've been waiting 2 months now. I have MS, and SS sent me to their doctors for a 10 minute exam, after which they decided that I am not disabled. I know there has to be other people out there with the same problems, waisting for 2 years for an appeal really isn't an option but at this point I really don't have a choice. I've seen an attorney but that doesn't speed things up-I could be homeless in 2 years. Where do I go for help?????

IMO Democracy doesn't work, don't believe me? here are a few examples, war, poverty, 33mil dollar salaries for some workers, they have children working over in other countries with 1 dollar/hour salaries while they are getting paid there disgusting amount, innocent people are in jail, and that is just a few. What do you think would be a better system?
