When yesterday's siblings become today's responsible citizens and have their own happy (or sometimes not so happy) family, would they like to come back and share the same roof and environment with their parents and grandparents in which they grew up?
In the eyes of parents the siblings are always immature and unstable, but would you consider to be labeled like that?
The answer may be a big NO. Someone suggested that the fashion in these days is small and manageable size. The days of socialism and communism are numbered. It is near to impossible to have people with lower education level to think rationally. The countries you have mentioned are having huge numbers of illiterate population no matter whether they have got hold of nuclear and such technologies.
The people with strong religious sentiment and false-ego are more dangerous to be kept confined within one geographical or political boundary. The Afghans for example would live miserable lives than to have living standards of those of USSR era. They have shown to the world that their so-called tribal honor is more important than having a decent future where people (particularly the women) could live with dignity.
PS. I appreciate your sentiment but these are wishful thinking as long as leadership in India, Pakistan and such major players keep on spinning one after another tricks to destabilize their neighbors. This is sad but true!

In 1949 sectarian violence between Moslems and Hindus broke out across the sub-continent because, for the first time in 10+ centuries, there was no foreign ruler(like the British) to keep the peace. The result of Partition was the deaths of millions of people and destruction and continued hatered that today threatens to engulf the region in atomic war!
No way will these counties ever join together. There is far too much history and hatred to pever permit this.
You make a good point but an artificial national entity like Iraq has more chance at piece than these countries being cobbled together.

They were hardly a 'Nation', just a loose collection of kingdoms. The idea of reuniting India and Pakistan is doomed to failure. The idea of separation (although a disastrous one) was put forward because two opposing ideologies couldn't get on. When Britain was, quite wrongly, ruling India they had a common enemy. After Britain left they turned to the old ideological hatreds.
India is a different country to Pakistan now and even more removed from Afghanistan. The notion that they would prosper, like some great tea-party, is highly unlikely, even if if this would be best in an ideal world.

I do not believe that Afghanistan to be in the list because it was not part of the the Indian Empire/civilization. Countries like Bangladesh, Burma, Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal could join. This combination will be more politically in regards of the past history. I might be sounding a little "BJP" but I am just saying that this would be more politically accurate.

unhappy to assert, yet I doubt it. There might have been of project to ward off partition interior the 1st place and placed a mundane gadget in place whilst the British left. regrettably, the British weren't clever adequate to try this. the assumption of coming up Pakistan (East Pakistan and West Pakistan) seems ludicrous - so as quickly as partition had got here approximately, the advent of Bangladesh substitute into unavoidable. Now a query lower back. Do you think of partition might have worked to any extent further suitable if the British had distinctive that Kashmir and Jammu might join India, or that it would join Pakistan, rather than leaving a community of mixed religions to elect for themselves? Or might the conflicts nonetheless have got here approximately?

according to me this question is wrong.why to add afghanistan in this list as it has never been part of india empire,we need to over come from this funda that we were together.we are still in past that why we are not able to grow.our politicians have made us think that but if we care,no body from naighbour countries will think in this way.we must overcome to these things.and suppose,if such thing happens then there would be a weak govt. in centre.if we see pakinstan they are not able to handle their own isuues same incase of bangladesh.even india is not able to handle kashmir issue, and also not able to handle assam and manipur, bodoland naxal issue's which is more bigger than kashmir issue.but isdian govt. urges kashmir issue as a biggest issue.still UP and bihar is in JANGAL RAJ.so thinking about getting together is useless.

Try telling them that! The tendency in modern states is to divide, not unite. Each of the states you mention contain groups that wish to become independent of their respective countries. It's happening everywhere. In fact it's amazing that there are not more seperatist movements in the USA.

Of course, they could become "Shitholestan", combining the Hindu Indians, with the Muslim Pakistan, with Bangladesh, and the Fundamentalist Afghanistan. Let see how they get along.
