When the president clearly has lost the faith of the people (28%) and his mandate, but can continue to govern as he pleases uninterrupted isn't there something wrong?
I mean in the "old days" communication and polls etc. were practically non-existent. The people have a lot more up-to-date knowledge and input today. Shouldn't there be provision for the power of the self-governing people, made for these new circumstances?
Take for another example, (and there are many;) did the Founding Fathers ever imagine the kind of firepower that one person could carry in their two hands when they enacted the 2nd Amendment?
Do you think if they'd had a "time-lens" and could have seen today's almost daily shooting events that they would enact the 2nd Amendment now?
I see many such flaws in the Constitution, and the standard for change makes it nigh impossible in today's political atmosphere which makes it even further disabled..
