I know it has to be recognized as its own country but there has to be more.

It doesn't seem that the PRC will let Taiwan become independant w/out a fight. Even though many nationalists say that the PRC lost Taiwan in 1949 and they are technically independant already, mainland China has repeatedly threatened military action if Taiwan were to ever act unilaterally.

suited now that's an self reliant usa. How long it is going to stay that way no person knows of. The chinese language have continuously claimed that's area of mainland China and by some ability i don't see the U. S. going to warfare with China in the event that they warfare to take over Taiwan by ability of stress.

there is nothing. the cultural ties are too strong with China. Taiwan (despite the current independence) is viewed by China's government as a part of China.
