The Democrats are trying to take care of home, but they get vetoed and told they are un-American for not wanting to spend $1 trillion and our entire military on Iraq. You know, if we would have spent the money we spent on Iraq on education, healthcare, and improving some governmental organizations, we would be a great country with a much better international opinion.

Why expect anyone to take care of you? The government's only legitimate function is to enforce morality laws against the citizens private personal lives and to build prisons to stick the people in who get caught breaking those rules. And to start wars. Thats the conservative theory of government. Thats what the people voted for in 2000 (oh wait, that was the Republicans on the supreme ct) and in 2004. They want the government fighting in Iraq, its more important than helping Americans in Kansas or New Orleans. Its what they voted for.

Providing benefits to illegal immigrants.

Providing welfare for alcoholics, druggies and people who are too lazy to work.

People who claim to be disabled but we see them dailly work heavy construction on their own homes and for others being paid under the table.

For government projects through pork barrel spending that only benefit a few people but get the politicians votes from their district.

Sending billions in aid to other countries that hate us.

Fighting wars that do nothing to secure our own borders.

Stupid law suits, stupid governmental investigations.

Paying representatives to debate trivial issues and voting along party lines instead of being true to their own convictions.

Paying representatives who win by appealing to people wanting more handouts. Ha, Ha, Edwards elliminating poverty.

Political parties that prefer to fight each other than work together.

The list goes on & on & on.

From every 1000 Dollar Tax you pay, 300 Dollar go to ill prepared military adventures. 400 Dollar pay of interest, or the interest on the interest of national debts. The measly rest is barely enough to pay the lousy 300,000 Dollar Government salaries in Washington, the perks and expenses for our hard working Government employees to travel and sustain their obese guts.

Two thirds of the Federal budget goes to Welfare programs like public education, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. As an American, I try to take care of myself...DESPITE the Federal government's hand in my pocket.

In this administration, our personal tax dollars seem to go to the area of government that will benefit us the least. Yours are probably going to the effort to repeal Roe v Wade....

take a New York City resident, married with one child, reporting a household income of $50,000 and claiming standard deductions. The city income tax bill would be $1,355. Out of that, just to list a few categories: $44.52 would go to city jails, $7.85 to city parks and $0.87 to snow removal.

Of a state bill of $2,091, a few examples would be: $123.79 to employee benefits, $69.25 to the State University of New York and $1.82 to child-support enforcement.

Of a Federal bill of $9,176, $217.55 would go to veterans benefits, $74.66 to space research and $18.58 to disaster relief, among other categories.

You think taxes are bad now. Just wait until all this debt to run this war comes due. These will be the "Good old days" and there will be even less for us.

Americans are taking care of themselves (the only ones they can depend on).

Dubya & Co. are wasting hundreds of billions in tax revenue on their endless occupation of Iraq.

All so blind, paranoid ideologues can feel 'safer'. While they continue to generate support for radicals and terrorists.

This is a question for the Liberal Democrats. They are the ones who love to waste our money on needless Social Programs, Needless Investigations, and who have been and still are hell bent on doing anything proactive about border security and terror defenses.
