Of course times have changed, that's an obvious statement as time never stands still.
Both parties have underwent massive changes. Goldwater Republicans are almost all democrats at this point, the republican party is huge into religious fanaticism and control of private lives. Democrats have undergone similar changes, but calling them socialist simply reflects a lack of knowledge about what socialism is.

nicely, have been that the case, socialists could for sure help the Democratic social gathering. Communists could settle for Democratic applicants, too, considering thier very own Peace & Freedom human beings particularly make it to the poll. extremely, you're underestimating the degree to which socialist ideals are transforming into usually used in super areas of u.s..

you might be right on some level, but that would be like saying the Republican Party is becoming the Neo-Conservative Party, in a way. the Neo-Conservative movement was one generation and on the way out. The Socialists will probably be around for much longer, and they have been here and around the world so, there is some validity to that yes. Hillary's universal healthcare is a socialist idea.

It is amazing that a person such as yourself can not only be as ignorant as you are....but that you enjoy flaunting your lack of intelligence. How sad.
The Democratic Party has become the Republicans
The Republican Party has become the Fascists
and the American people are left without political representation...both of the major parties are under the direct control of multinational corporations..... especially the military industrial complex
"Times have changed" is the only thing you said that wasn't incorrect....but your reasoning for saying it was totally incorrect.
You might want to consider an education at some point

Are you having a laugh?
Having a social conscience does not necessarily equate to being a socialist, just because socialism is meant to entail having a social conscience.
Just because two political standpoints share certain characteristics does not mean that they are one and the same.
There is no real socialism in mainstream American politics.
To suggest otherwise is not to understand what socialism constitutes, and to swallow right-wing propaganda wholesale. It smacks of truly lazy thinking.
The Democrats may be left of the Republicans, but that does not make them socialists. If we are going to have such slurs, please at least make them accurate. The Democratic party is still a right-wing party; it just might not seem so if you don't bother to compare it to any other mainstream political parties outside your borders.

No. Americans generally don't know what "Socialist" means. Look at any European Socialist Party for a reality check.

So what's your point? America is still the greediest, most corrupt corporately owned governance in the world, just as it was during the JFK period.
Edit: that's regardless of which party is in power.
