As long as Amercians remain susceptible to easily provoked fears--of losing their jobs to immigrants, their kids to perverts, their lives to terrorists--and as long as there are wealthy corporations and religious control freaks eager to exploit them--the Republican Party and its allies have a bright future.

Does this sound like the Republican Party of 2007?

If we paid 1/2 of what we paid for bombs towards getting food water and services to the millions that need it, not only would we be helping those that need it, we would also be contesting the negative ideas and ideology of extremists. Had we stuck with small special ops along Afghan boarder and not moved into Iraq so quickly and ill prepared, we would have caught "the people that knocked those buildings down". Had we diverted the financial and personnel resources to supporting humanitarian relief around the globe, we would have undermined the extremists’ message. Iraq and other campaigns these days are all about gaining control and power when they should be controlled ways to empower the indigenous people; improving their life instead of disabling and validating the extremists’ campaign. Typically, people that need the help the most are those that don’t know or understand what is going on elsewhere – but they do know things where they are could be better.

I agree that equal opportunities are deserved by everyone, but polls taken in the Army itself show how little those serving would want Gay individuals serving alongside them, and sexual tension has and always will destroy efficiency. So; really, it's a matter of principles, does our desire to be just outweigh the negative effects a repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell may cause? What are your opinions on the matter?

Even though we've voted in the best govt this country is likely to see, and have a great economy, there is always some things that dont measure up to the high standards we expect.

What in the last 10 years has been a bit of a let down for you, from this govt?

For me, its been the on-going problem with immigration, a country our size can only house so many, and take so much, before something has to give!

Also, i'd like to see a proper crackdown on those among us who refuse to work and cheat benefits, yet somehow never seem to get caught, or if they do, manage to continue with little more than a slap on the wrist. I know many people who have been hauled up for cheating, yet still do not work.

I'd like to see both these things addressed during the next term of office, be-it Brown Blair or who-ever.

What for you, has been a let down?

Your Local MP represents an approximate average of 60,000 people in his/her constituency - is this possible? Is this a true representation for "the people" in a democracy?

Are your questions and/or problems ever solved? Is your MP willing to stand up for you in the Houses of Commons to campaign for your 'Rights'?

What will you do to our so-called democratic system in order to be truely representative of the local people?

What is happening today in Zimbabwe is exactly why Africa is in trouble.
African leaders and NOT true leaders after all, just power hungry people looking for an opportunity to grab wealth and stay in power.
Robert Mugabe can continue his free rein of terror until god decides his fate, rest assured no African leaders will ever rise up and speak out against him.
LFS Burnham ran the same for twenty-seven years in Guyana right under the nose of Caricom whose membership includes some greatest democracy known to man in the western hemisphere.
Carry on Mugabe your legacy will be buried right alongside your pure ignorance and purpose here on earth.
I pray someday Africa can elect some women leaders who I may add have the courage to speak up and take on a challenge even is the issue lies outside your country.
Remember Gandhi started in South Africa ended in India, may be the leadership today in South Africa will not turn a blind eye on thy neighbor!
God Bless Africa
