We need a binding national referendum to transition all gov.t employees from the Fed, state, or mini govt. pension programs into 401K's just like the rest of us. Why should your congressman, for example, receive outragiously generous pensions (and medical coverage) when the very people (hey, thats us) who elect tghem and supply the tax dollars are stuck with zilch?

Many people in America now suddenly against the war. Despite the reasons for their conversion, why do you think the American people are not voicing an opinion against the president who has given himself unlimited power and calls himself "the decision maker"?

I have heard that pollution can cause psychological alterations due to the chemicals involved and also the affect on the atmosphere (haze, smog, etc. can lead to depression, which would further the discontent with tradition and values. what are your thoughts? Please don't answer with "because liberals are for the environment" because so are conservatives..

We have all heard it said that the government is removing "In God We Trust" from all our money, but I was wondering if there was any truth to it. This country was founded on Christian principles, and as an American I am appalled that the government would even consider removing it so as not to offend anyone. Anyone know if this is true? And if so, I think we need to do something about it to stop it from happening.

Seeing now that terrorism has increased since we attacked iraq, i'd have to agree, but go ahead and read the article and decide for yourself.

What can I do to the government for losing a passport and ruining a trip? It was sent out expedited, everything was filled out correctly over a month ago, yet they have no record of it on line, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone on the national line.

It was sent out way in advance and I know of five other people who sent theirs out around the same time and got them no problem.

I'm beyond the point of asking what else can I do to get the passport in time ... I want REVENGE ... how do I get that?

was NOT done on-line ... everything documented and reviewed at an OFFICIAL Passport site.

My assumption is that it would force the automobile industry, both foreign and domestic, to make vehicles of those class more fuel efficient. It would seem that this would lower America's dependence on foreign oil, but are there other rewards or consequences of enforcing such standards on the industry?

I can understand that a party selects who it wants as there leader, but should the public have any say in who there next PM will be?
I realise that in voting in an election, majority seats rule - but that doesn't extend to a choice of PM.
