In fact we don't as a previous answer pointed out. The Esteemed Mr. Bush's poll numbers are continuing to fall. This is before the Congressional Oversight Hearings really get underway and expose the true nature of just what has been going on for these last 6 years.

Regardless of the opinions that get air time in the media, the citizens of this nation should support our Commander-In-Chief. People tend to forget that the President went to Congress about the war and THEY voted to go to war. The US government is made up of THREE branches. The responsibility for the war lies with both the President AND Congress. He has not "given himself" unlimited powers...Congress provided extra power through the Patriot Act...and it's renewal. Too bad the majority of Congress doesn't have the courage to stand by their decisions, huh?

He has always had the final say on what goes on weather he came out and stated he has Unlimited Power or not. The reason he said that is because the media and democratic party are undermining him and making the US seem weak and indecisive. This in turn gives confidence to the terrorists and insurgents to think that if they continue to create havoc over there that we will fold and pull out. So that Iran and Syria (who has Iraq's WMD) can take over Iraq. Plus you have to know he did not suggest the troop increase, he just approved it. The military in Iraq suggested this from him. THEY ARE ASKING FOR HELP and the liberals don't want to help them.

He is the decision maker...he is the leader of the free world. As for your question about why people are not voicing their opinion against the president...have you watched the news lately?

There are plenty of people voicing their discontent about Mr. Bush but not enough. I've done a lot of research and pride myself on listening to both sides but I just don't understand the support he gets. Every week it's something new. This week it's the administration's lack of compassion toward our soldiers and the scandal at Walter Reed hosp.
But don't expect to get much support on this forum. It's a very conservative group.

Latte? Too much caffeine? Made you forget that Congress and the Senate did that? Keep up or take notes. Hillary and Barack are fighting about that right now.

I am pretty sure that after last november's elections and the unavoidable numbers attending anti war rallies anymore, I think we could actually press our senators to persue impeachment and maybe get somewhere with it, don't you?
