We need a binding national referendum to transition all gov.t employees from the Fed, state, or mini govt. pension programs into 401K's just like the rest of us. Why should your congressman, for example, receive outragiously generous pensions (and medical coverage) when the very people (hey, thats us) who elect tghem and supply the tax dollars are stuck with zilch?

We not only need the 401k's. We need for the dept of Veterans affairs to give the full pension to surviving spouses of 100% service connected veterans who pass away and then the widow only gets a third of the pension, while together as a couple they could at least make ends meet then when the veteran passes the widow doesn't get enough to make it from onhe month till the next. She gets 255.00 from Soc. Sec. and then she has to pay for the rest of the funeral. And then when she passes away there is little enough to pay for her funeral.

If you dont like your current pension plan, find another job that has one you like.
Or why not set up a retirement account on your own.
Need to man up and start taking responsibility for you own life, no one is forcing you tonot have a good retirement.

Glad to see someone noticed. Just vote NO INCUMBANTS until we can clean house. It is the only way. All professional politicians are crooks and are afraid to tell it like it is.

I say that in utmost respect, Sir...i truly would vote for such a man running today who posed questions relevant to the integrity of government...and vowed to address it's insults to the people it represents.
