Were running out of time to save our social security benefits and besides saveing and investing I cant think of a way to keep the dry up from happening. What can the nation and we as personal people do to save social security, or make sure we have benifits when we get to that point?

Your question has the underlying assumption that social security should be saved. It should not. It is a horrible idea and we should not try to fix it, we should kill it.

The government has no business at all being involved in my retirement choices. How dare they FORCE me to participate in a program I have no desire to be in? How dare they FORCE me to give up 15+% of my income for my whole life and then HOPE they give it back to me when I reach 65, IF I even live that long? What if I die at 64? That is 15+% of my income for my entire life that was stolen from me, and my children, that I never had the freedom to use because I died before they gave it back to me. What kind of stupid, unethical, immoral, DUMB F_CK idea is that?!?

Social Security is evil, kill it now!

Make the Congress and all Official Government pay back what they stole from the SSP... and then make them pay back from all the years they have been in office, and cut their retirement to 1% of their overall earnings. Hold the government accountable for stealing from the people, they sure would hold us accountable; would they NOT?

Make Bush pay off all those IOU's he put in the lock box and that is place no one is suppose to open. I was listening on the TV this man that worked with the lock box was the one that stated about Bush and his IOU's had busted the lock box. When Bush was campaigning he vowed to never touch the lock box and after it was announced he said, '"Why leave all that money just laying there , when we need to this money to spend."

We have to get over this "all taxes are bad" feeling we seem to have. Ultimately, what we put into the government we get back out (or should expect to get back out, minus salaries and whatnot). We need to increase Social Security Taxes. And pass legislation to not allow the government to "borrow" from it ever again.

Tax the hell out of guest workers and funnel it into social security.
