With the increasing disagreement between what states wants and the federal governement mean that states should start looking at secession? States and Local governments are tyring to enact their own illegal immigration laws, gay marriage laws (both for and against), eminent domain rules, education funding and curriculm and many others. Is the federal governemt so out of step with the states that its time to call it quits?

It is conceivable and possible for a US President to extend his/her term because the country is at war. Do you think Bush would attempt to play this card?

Will someone please explain to me why the Labour Party (Blair at least) allignes itself with the American GOP so intimately? I'm an american and from research it seems as if the Labour Party has more in common with our Democratic Party. Has the Labour Party changed over the years? Am I getting the theoretical deffinition of the Party and not new commonplace? Please shed some light and please don't just bash the givernments.

Do you think there has been any attempt to rig these machines?
We've all read the news reports about the public not being allowed to know how they work, no paper trail, etc. But is there a real risk here?

I personally think he's the worst president we've had in a long long time. He's both a liar and a war criminal. I'm glad I never voted for him.

Americans are known for their practical nature, their "can-do" spirit. If something doesn't work, we fix it, or toss it out. So why not just say that the idea seemed good at the time, but now it just hasn't worked out, and we had better leave. If we just explained this to the Arab world, they would understand, and they would actually agree with us. Democracy cannot be planted in Islamic soil.

They got more morals than republicans, and they're better leaders. Democrats are for the people right? Then why don't the people vote for them?

And if your hero John Kerry had got office we would have already had another 9/11 terrorist attack against this country. I hope a terrorist attack hits you leiberal wacko

Does the American public really believe that a bunch of cavemen have ambitions to fly airplanes??? Is it not clear that a Boeing 757 did not hit the pentagon!!! Do you believe that a Boeing 757 can create a 16 foot opening in the pentagon? If so where was the plane parts and why wasn't the lawn of the pentagon ripped up?
Isn't it safe to say that what could have hit the pentagon was a cruise missle? I do not ask these things as a Republican or a Democrat but as a American worried about his constitution. Couldn't this just be something our government did to make us accept this coming of the New World Order? Bush Sr. plainly admitted to us that he had plans for a new world order and then threw it in our face saying we would be succesful!!! Impeach this administration of gangsters!!!

Don't give me crap about posting in the Government section, because USPS is a gov't agency.

We've been expecting mail from Austria for weeks now, and it typically gets here in about 6-10 days. The odd thing is that for the past week and a half, the PO Box has been COMPLETELY empty.
In another instance, I was expecting a package from South Africa. Two or three months later, I hear it came back "Return to Sender," and apparently the postmark says it DID reach the US.
So this guy I live with is ranting, and says Bush got busted spying on people. I missed that headline. What did I miss?
There's a woman I know a few states over who has business mail returned when she knows the addresses are correct and current. WHAT IS THE DEAL?

Anyone have ANY idea what's up with the US mail system lately???

We as working people have OVER 50% of ALL we earn taken from us in the form of direct AND indirect taxes (don't believe me then sit down and work it out for youselves) but all this money is NOT wisely spent by ANY means, so much is wasted on things that do NOTHING for the lives of the people paying, this is not taxation it is legalized ROBBERY.

A lot of times businesses want your number that have no right to it and if you dont give it to them they won't do business with you. If you doubt me try it and see how much you can get done without giving them your SS# it's kind of fun but not very time profitable.
