Government - August 2006

This question goes out more to the conservative/independent base, since they make up the majority of common sense thought in America - Would you vote first for national security, or would you let domestic issues swing your decision? Point being, Guiliani WILL run for office in 08, along with several others, including McCain, Romney, etc. Guiliani DOES support gay rights, DOES support abortion rights, etc... but I feel that he would be FAR FAR more conservative than ANY other opponent in the running on the one topic that matters most - national security. I just hope that we don't get into a pickle and allow someone from the democrat ticket take the white house, because we were split on Guiliani.

I retired from the Marines after 30 years of serving this great country. I've seen the horrors of war and understand why we have to fight them. What I don't understand is the war we have right here in America. Both parties spend more time bashing each other than they do working for us! I'm tired of it. How about you?

Ok. I am part of a team of eleven 14 year olds and we work for the office of the commissioner for young people. We are technically members of government (Woo!).We try and fix the inequalities that children and young people suffer from in day to day life. Where do you go after school? Youth Clubs? Where can we promote our aim. OUr aim is to hear young peoples opinions and thoughts and problems and tell them to Professor Sir Albert Aynsley-Green for him to take to parliament and eventually sort things out for us - the younger community!

Please help me with this!

Thanks xxx

Ben Laden had tried to bring down the twin towers(1993) bombed 2 embassy's 1 marine barracks the USS COLE. Now you say he is in with Bush.
Bush has him hiding under a rock in a cave somewhere.

These are my favorite:

Example 1

A picture of a steel beam, from one of the towers, that has been cut using an explosive (Thermate). Click pic. to enlarge.

Example 2

A semi clear picture of Osama, taken from "his" confession video, compared and contrasted to his photograph.

So much for judging my country South Africa when we are light years ahead since the Apartheid time, I found that there was alot of racism still dormant in the USA.

I have a p.o. box and have a mail box at my home. Is it legal for me to receive mail at both? I sometimes have to give my physical address on things that I am receiving. I'm not just talking about packages, I mean regular mail, also. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

i was arguing with someone the other day who was blindly accusing bush of declaring war on Iraq. I told him basically that ush DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER to declare war on another country.

Bush can make the case for war, but, in the end it is CONGRESS that must declare war on the opposing country.

However, the War Powers Act and the Constitution allow the president (and are suppossed to regulate) the president's issuing of troops and placement of them - he must still contact Congress within a few days to notify them of his actions.

It has dawned on me however that the checks and Balances system does not work if both the EXECUTIVE BRANCH and the LEGISLATIVE BRANCH are predominantly republican and the Judicial branch is filled with buddies of the EXECUTIVE BRANCH.

This being the case, the government right now virtually HAS NO CHECKS AND BALANCES and is actually closer to being Totalitarian, a dictatorship or Authoritarian.

Would you still vote at all (for Presidential elections at least) if you know these true facts (complete with references)?

What would you do to change the system?

1. 80% of all votes in America are counted by only two companies: Diebold and ES&S.

2. There is no federal agency with regulatory authority or oversight of the U.S. voting machine industry.

3. The vice-president of Diebold and the president of ES&S are brothers.

Honestly I am sick and tired of hearing people talk about this "MARK OF THE BEAST BULLSH!T"
I am not supersticious at all and I think GPS locators would be an excellent idea for:

#1 US SOLDIERS
#2 CHILD MOLESTORS/RAPISTS
#3 Children who live in HIGH RISK kidnapping environments
#4 US Journalists in the Middle East
#5 Drug offenders/ sex offenders convicted of felonies
as well as a few others.

It doesn't have to be an implant (I'd perfer it be though) but for Soldiers and journalists, a dog tag or maybe an implant if they wanted one in their arm or buttocks.

Ultimately, if the government is looking for you, they can find you very quickly using phone records and credit card records etc - so to me the whole idea of an implant ISN'T AS SCARY as the idea of the government monitoring my conversations and spending (WHICH ALLREADY HAPPENS NOW)

Why do these idiot Neocons defend Bush's ILLEGAL, IMPEACHABLE wire tapping but, shudder at the thought of implants?

I believe national security is the right of a nation to secure any resources in another country, they need to "survive". Whether they have enough in their own country or not!
