I have a p.o. box and have a mail box at my home. Is it legal for me to receive mail at both? I sometimes have to give my physical address on things that I am receiving. I'm not just talking about packages, I mean regular mail, also. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I am asking because the lady at the post office is saying I need to change the mail I am receiving at home's address to my p.o. box address. I thought since I pay for the P.O. Box and am buying my home, I was allowed to get mail at both.

Yes, completely legal. Just make sure you read carefully to differentiate your home address from your billing address or whatever you use your P.O. Box for.

Yes, you are allowed to get mail both at home and at your P.O. box, but not the same mail, at the same time.

Yes. You can receive mail at as many different addresses as you wish.

When I was traveling around the country doing consulting, I even had several POBoxes in different states.

its perfectly legal. If you were trying to hide from law enforcement or legitimate creditors, that would be illegal regardless of your method. If you tried to you a false address for voter registration, that would be election fraud. As for regular mail, you can have it sent care of your dog if you want.
