At 9:30 tonight, Iraq takes longer than WW II

August 18, 2006

We're counting from the day Germany declared war on the US (December 11, 1941) to VE day (May 8, 1945). This is 1244 days. The Invasion of Iraq began on March 20, 2003 at 21:34 EST when the US began their first air strike on Baghdad. ( And to think the Bush supporters said the Iraq war would be easy )

On August 15, 2006 21:30 EST the United States will have been at war in Iraq longer than it was at war with Germany in World War II.

The whole world hates the USA or at least has a dim view of the United States. Is this because of the warmongers?

If you are a person that blames Bush for Hurricane Katrina please ask yourself the following questions (probably will not help anything, but deep down maybe you'll realize that it wasn't Bush's fault)

1. Is this the first hurricane to ever hit the U.S?
2. Were the citizens warned that a hurricane was coming?
3. Would Bush really know about a number of busses parked somehwere in the city?
4. Is this the first hurricane to cause lots of damage and deaths?
5. Did Bush choose the basically doomed location of New Orleans?
6. Did Bush build or design the levees that were supposed to help?
I have another question, why, when we've donated billions of dollars to help the victims of Katrina, do many people claim they recieved no aid?

Would you consider us "Americans" or the United States as a whole, to be your biggest allie? I know I've asked the question to all the Americans and they all said "Yes" they think the U.K. is our biggest allie and/or friend. I read somewhere that Mr. Blair said that the U.K. stands shoulder to shoulder with the United States as biggest allies.

Would you think of us the same way? If you answer "Yes" please put why - and if you answered "No" then please put why. Thank You

Also do you think that the United States and the United Kingdom could fight together in a war and become the most powerful force? Why or Why Not?

I need this for bonus in school. I have tried looking through the constitution itself, but have been unsuccessful in finding anything. Can you answer this question? What in the Constitution forbids a richer or more important person from getting a less severe punishment for a crime? Or it may be interpretted as lower people getting harsher punishments. Does anyone know, if not I am stuck.

how come the U.S. is getting involved in everyone else's problems, when they can't even take care of their own. look at what we are doing in the middle east and then look at the states. You can only keep the war in the middle east for so long, before eventually it will become part of the americans life. we are losing so many soldiers and they still keep sending more over there. The government just doesn't care how many people get killed fighting for their lives, they just want it to look like they are trying to stabilize the other countrys', when in reality they can't stabilize us.

Try not to froth at the mouth at this. Bush supporters - don't slime me. Bush opponents - don't flip out.

I want cogent, rational, sincere analysis.

My views are not the issue.

Drinking alcohol is 18? I know alcohol is dangerous, but surely driving a car is a potential death machine. Especially in someone that young. I know some people that have started driving and iv seen them speed and drive dangerously. One even knocked a younger pupil over. You are not even classified as an adult at 17. Anyone else think this is crazy?

I use to think just like all you guys, get a job, stop sponging off of government money. Well I have paid taxes, my family has paid taxes, I paid off a thirty thousand dollar loan that the government made sure I paid! Yes, the loan was a school loan, I am not uneducated! Unfortunatley, as many others, tragic events took place in my life and all the knowledge, all the money in world couldn't help me. I have overcome something that has made me an even better and stronger person, I didn't lose my dignity, but I did lose one thing, thank God, my pride! I need some serious help , I do live in a country where the system, if used the right way, can help a person help themselves and then play it forward! I could turn to a live of crime and start to become sour, feeling that everyone owes me. I will take a little to build much more and be proud that I did it in a much more dignified way then many others do. God Bless you!!!!!
