Radio stations typically maintain a profit margin of 4-6%. Government funding of National Public Radio means that it never has to worry about profitability and thus can forward an idiology that cannot be supported by commercial radio. This advantage is one of the main reasons that Air America is failing. NPR does not have to make money, but Air America does, as NPR gathers the liberal audience Air America loses listeners and slowly dies.

Would the liberal cause be better off if NPR was not a leftwing entity because Air America might survive in more markets than Boston, NYC and San Francisco?

Hate Americans?? I know we stick our nose where it doesn't belong but the majority of us don't want us to be at war with anyone. Why do we all have to suffer because idiots run our country. Not all of us vote them into office.

Would Watergate happen? Would Vietnam keep going as long as it did? Would George W. Bush be president now? Lot's of things could of happened if President Kennedy had lived out his term t the fullest. The Aura of the the American people then would have been much higher, resulting in a better American economy, or anything else for that matter. Kennedy was a great American president, so what would America be like today, if he was just a little longer?

I am an American, the USA is in a mess. Our foreign policy is poor, our secret services and intelligence agencies are poor. Our interference in Iraq has cost the lives of many americans, the blood is on our hands. The whole world is laughing at us, justified, We have no culture. Our people stuff their faces, gluttony, selfishness is widespread. We should be ashamed. We are no longer respected.

Existing laws can be built into super-computer systems. New laws/ amendments will be created by computers based on scientific inputs and a rationalizing software. Human inputs would be minimal and mostly strategic. Governmental agencies will be brought down to a minimum and will 'report into' the super-computers. Other nations can integrate and eventually create one global system. There will be consistency/ stability and less conflicts. Problems like poverty, diseases, environmental issues can be solved collectively.

the cost of living seems to keep climbing but the pay for work stays the same so there is no balance. In va min. wage is still under 6.00 and you can't even rent a room for that much.
Our heads seem to be so turned up and focusing on everyone else that our security became low and all that for other influences to come into are country, create a life all along while hating it. Just to kill thousands.
It also seems the lack of communication and power of teachers influencing students are going low, but the sex crazed, be this way, got to have this, contradicting, you need me media has a stronger grasp. What is happening to us?

In a lot of my questions Americans believe there country is the most generous when giving foreign aid. Well, you are wrong, You do give more than any other country , granted, however you are one of the smallest donaters of money in comparison with your countries wealth turnover, way behind UK, Germany, France, Japan and many more. So why do yanks insist they are some kind of world heros.

politicians have just passed a law that prohibits feeding a hungry person if they are ilegal in this country (usa) how is it possible to turn away a hungry person and most of these people do not go around asking for food unless they are really hungry, they would work for food their only sin was to be born poor, we are denying food to the poor and jobless but yet we send our troops and money to other countries who hate us.
