I didn't study about every specific president when I was in school. He may only be mentioned as the president who was in office at the dawn of internet commerce.

He didn't do anything incredibly significant that will earn him a solid place in text books, maybe with the exception of getting himself impeached by the House.

In a hundred years the world wont care about what Clinton did or was, there wont even be a United States of America. There will only be the the transcontinental mega corporations that feed the lower populations what they want them to think to control them. The elite intellectual ruling class will still have access to historical data to use as they see fit for there purposes.
A few road maps of the future, Gattica, 1984, Brave new word, Anthem, Fahrenheit 451, A.I., Revelations, Stranger in a strange land, Neuromancer, Foundation trilogy, anything by Noam Chomsky or Howard Zinn, and Stephen W. Hawking.
The past is prologue.

President Bill Clinton: President of the Scandal of the Month Club whose only real rival was Boss Hawg. It'll be right next to Teapot Dome, Watergate, and the Oil Wars of the early 21st Century..

The scandal(s) are all he'll ever be known for to the general public in 100 years. Kennedy is known for 1) Marilyn 2) the Moon mission and 3) getting shot. Nixon is known for getting impeached and resigning. Virtually no President is remembered for the good things that happened during their time in office. Lincoln may be the sole exception.

Probably all the crap about how awful a president he was and how he was an adulterer and how he was the first president where this was made a big deal out of. But this where I have to interject and say 1) He was by no means the first president to have an affair(although that certainly doesn't excuse it) and 2) when I traveled abroad, people couldn't say good enough things about him, annd I didn't hear a single bad thing about him.

Besides the scandles I think he will be remembered as being the President that was involved with helping our country become more Eco friendly, having peace for two terms, overcoming many personal obstacles but still resillient. Our economy was the best we have had in years. He is a great communicator and that in turned helped to keep us out of conflict with other countries. He was impeached for lying why not impeach Bush, he has lied to us many time....for examply WMD.

They'll probably just touch on the barest minimum of highlights, as they do, now, with most Presidents.

That he was a two term President. That he presided over the only surplus in a (number yet to be determined) year period. That he was impeached, but that his impeachment did not result in his removal from office.

Probably some of the scandals, as well as his amazing ability to be popular even after everything the country went through with that little blue dress and the infamous stain. He will probably be remembered as a good president, though not the greatest. But I think overall the consensus will be kind to him.

That he was lucky enough to be president when the economy was exploding from tax cuts 10 years before. The blue dress and lying to a grand jury with subsequent impeachment will have a chapter all its own.

Having been a high school teacher during the Clinton years, I can safely say that he will be remembered as the president who had oral sex in the oval office. He will also be remembered as a pathological liar.
