Yes, and here's why.
1. Saddam attacked Kuwait to star the Gulf war in 1991
2. We kicked Iraqi butt and Saddam surrendered
3. That war ended on certain condition set forth by the UN
4. Saddam broke 17 UN resolutions regarding the cease fire
5. UN did nothing about it
6. US saw Saddam as a threat
7. USA did what the cowardly UN wouldnt do, removed Saddam
So yes, the Iraq war was justified. The UN should have done something a long time before, and maybe the war could have been avoided, but it only talked. Saddam did NOT respect talk, he respected only action.
Hey, talk is cheap. Sometimes you gotta do more than negotiate.

While soldiers are dying
And mothers are crying
The whole nation remembers
That day in September
We were told Iraq had no connection
with the events of september eleven
But not two years later
the president not greater
Was leading our nation
into a great conflagration
Look, Fox new is on
making the war go on
All the while, soldiers are dying
and their mothers are crying
We now look for justification
Where is the leader of the nation?

Well that's as twisted as you can get. I suppose that if you wish you could make a case that taking a life is a sin from cradle to grave, but it seems they want war, and someone always dies in that too, and they want capital punishment, and someone always dies in that. I think the whole thrust in the abortion argument is based on the theory of punishing a woman by insisting on compulsory pregnancy. Otherwise they would be out there passing out condoms on every street corner, after all, no conception, no problem, but for many of them its the whole sex thing that makes them nuts. Its in no way related to 'innocent unborn v the guilty' either since no one has reached the age of enlistment without a few guilty pleasures in his/her background. The two aren't related, one does not justify the other, but some people can twist anything in any direction to try and make a point.

Not for the reasons we went to war.
I do believe that the international community had a moral responsibility to expose Saddam Hussein for the atrocities that he, his family and trusted friens in high places committed against the Kurds and others in the country he was supposed to lead.
I do believe that the international community had a moral responsibility to make it clear that further atrocities would lead to invasions to guaranty basic human rights for all people so we can avoid future Holocausts against other peoples of other nationalities, races, religions....
We are only in this war because of a personal grudge the Bush family has against Iraq and because of the Oil.

Regardless if we think the war is or is not justified; as Americans, we must support our military troops.
"Support the Troops, not the war"

Well it could be justified if we support the idea of taking control of the oil that will power our army while we expand our empire.

A mistake, I think, but now that we're there we should finish what we started. And the troops deserve our support no matter what.
