I am British living in the U.S. and the only site I can find with info on renewing my passport says it will cost $197. This seams high to me. I am wondering if I am looking in the right place for passport renewal?

Can you cancel a passport application for your child once you signed it?
A friend of mine applied for a passport for his 2 yr. old w/his ex just the other day. Now he fears she will leave the country w/the child once she gets it. Can anyone tell me if it can be canceled before it gets mailed out? If so, how would he go about doing that?

I'm in canada and wish to work with the US embassy in canada. More precisely as a Commercial specialist.

I'm curious are all good jobs within the Embassy published internally and not to the public?

Are the goverment jobs permanent as in you can not get fired and will only be promoted to a job to a lower level?

What about education? If I decide to do my master degree in a USA university, will the goverment help?

I really want to work within the Commercial Trade deparment. Should I take any Us embassy job and then apply internal to a job within my field?

Help...any advice is needed

Let say if you wanted to go to Austria but you apply the visa in Belgium Embassy, can you do that? or actually you do have to go to the Austrian embassy? I am confused because they are The European Union and they all require one visa which is called schagen visa. So, I thought that it would not make a big deal where you apply as long as the country embassy you are applying to is the member of European Union.

I have been told that the USA and the Vatican, for many years, did not have full diplomatic relations. Why ? When was this resolved ? And who sanctioned the restoration of full diplomatic relations with the Vatican - Congress or nobody ?

My uncle is mentally handicapped. He is completely harmless and like a 4 year old child. He has been rejected twice for no apparent reason although my dad (is legal guardian)was given the VISA right away. It is very sad that we can't let him even visit once since we are citizens of this country and we have always lived with him and think of him as our little brother.
If you know of way for us to get him a VISA pls do let menow.

Is this true? I heard it on the innernet somewhere.....i am guessing the reason is that if they let people leave, they would never come back.... Is there an official reason for their travel restrictions?....Don't you have to be a loyal communist to get a passport?.....Thanks for your answers.....

I feel everything is contradictory because some people (or websites) say that it is required to show a copy of the ticket flight or anything like that, others say that it is not, and other websites definitely don't say anything. I checked the Chinese embassy webpage and it says nothing about it, it doesn't even mention it.
So, what's going on? is it required yes or not? If you have travelled to China as a tourist or you work at the Chinese embassy please answer my question. Thank u

I am planning to travel to China on December for tourism and personal reasons (to visit someone). However I need to apply for the visa, as I know.
I am a Mexican woman who's already US citizen (by naturalization).
How hard do u think it'd be?
