Hello! First of all sorry for any english mistakes (i'm not a native speaker)

I am not a japanese descendent, so i'll need to get a work visa...
I pretend to graduate in a engineering college, in one of the top colleges in my country (Brazil)

http://www.us.emb-japan.go.jp/english/ht...
I am based in this site. Do you guys think the criteria of taking japanese visas is the same for all the countries?
What else would i need to get the work visa? Besides having a degree (a degree means that you done the college, right?) and knowing the language?

That's all, i hope you guys answer me
Thank you and regards from Brazil.

OK.... this question was brought up by one of my teammate

He is curretly deployed to Iraq.....
during R&R he wishs to travel to some foreign country besides US, and problem is that the country that he wishs to travel require US passport to enter.

So is there any way to apply US passport, or should I just tell him forget about it......

I'm in a quite complicated situation. I am from a non-EU country, but study in a EU country which from January first becomes a Schengen country. I own a temporary residence visa, valid for a year (until june 2008).

My question is, whether I will be able to travel to Schengen countries using this visa, i.e. without changing it? I've looked on different sources, but found quite contradictory information...

Thanks in advance

I'm a US citizen (currently living in the US) and I'm petitioning for both of my parents (who live in Ecuador). The interview will take place in the US Consulate in Ecuador. Can someone tell me if I have to go there for the interview, as well. Or do they just need to have a copy of all the paperwork I already submitted for them?
