The highest and best use of the Internet is to allow the Citizens of this great nation to VOTE on the INTERNET, but VOTING NOT ONLY for the candidates. (More of them can participate on the Internet.) BUT ALSO voting on the ISSUES of the day. I.E. When to get out of Iraq. How much to cut our taxes? How to begin a National Health Care System? Balancing the Federal Budget. Securing our Borders. Abolishing the Lobbyists. And many more issues that we face every day can be addressed on the INTERNET in National Initiatives and Referenda such as Senator Mike Gravel, Democratic Presidential Candidate has envisioned. (Actually, his method is over complicated.) But by voting on the Internet, DEMOCRACY would be SWIFT, it would be JUST, it would be honorable. It would be Real MAJORITY RULE. YES, Virginia VOTING ON THE INTERNET is REAL Democracy, RIGHT NOW, not the half-assed version we have now, corrupted into dust by the Lobbyists on K Street.

Just think.... you'll be unable to protect yourself from gun toting thugs. The police will be a 9-1-1 call (and seven minutes) away. I wonder if the Democrats will give all the disarmed households free access to lawyers for Last Wills and Testaments.

Why is voter turnout so low in America? What is the percentage anyway, less than 50%? Do we know our candidates are more or less the same, enough that it makes no difference who we vote for? Am I losing faith in Democracy? I'm sure more people on a political forum like this vote than compared to the general population.

If he makes top Rep. for Pres, I'm def throwing my vote his way.

He's real. Not fake like all these others. Out of all the major politicians in this country, he is the only one that seems genuine. The ONLY one in the last 30yrs.

He's a Soldier. He knows what it takes to win, he knows what we should do, and most importantly, He knows he should listen to the people on the ground when making his decisions.

Did we allow fear to smother our objectivity when we went to the polls?

Is Karl Rove one of the most clever election campaign manipulators in the history of political campaigns?

Does anyone out there think that a Democratic president would have persuaded Congress to spend over a trillion dollars in a war in Iraq?

Does anyone out there think a Democratic president would have persuaded Congress to spend over a trillion dollars on anything?

Aren't there any AUTHENTIC FISCAL REPUBLICANS out there who understand how George W. Bush ended up spending money like a drunken sailor and borrowed even more money that would end up being paid by our children and grandchildren?

Did Karl Rove successfully harness the power of fear to deliver us into this madness?

Is not FEAR a bonafide thief?

Is it not the biggest thief we will ever know?

I used to encourage people to vote. Now that I realize how many people vote based on the garbage spewed out by the media, I'd rather have only well-informed people voting (especially for President). Basing your decision on the hand-picked sound and video bytes we're exposed to w/o any independent research or knowledge isn't a smart way to choose national leaders. What sort of tests would you suggest?

I think he is going to win. Call me paranoid but, I also think the election is fixed.
How will we know the truth? Polls can be deceptive. It could be something like what happened with Eugene Curtis.

The experience factor keeps coming up at the mention of Senator Barack Obama. In all fairness to Senator Barack Obama: Does he really have any less experience than the other candidates? What really qualifies as experience for the top job in the country? What experience did President George Bush bring to the table before taking the oath of office? Why is our country so divided today? Was it because of experience or inexperience?
