The Bay of Pigs (Spanish: Bahía de Cochinos, also known as Playa Girón) is an inlet on the southern coast of Cuba. It is located in the province of Matanzas and is west of the city of Cienfuegos.

It is the site of the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion, a 1961 US-supported invasion by Cuban exiles during John F. Kennedy's presidency. The US denied all knowledge of the attack. The intention of the invasion was to overthrow the government of Fidel Castro. The invasion took place at a beach called Playa Girón.
