It was a media person ( a black media person no less ) I think it was an LA times person but im not 100% on that I would have to look it up to be certain on what media they were from.
But it wasnt Rush. And it wasnt a talk show host.
= MrKnowIt. Schanlin or however you spell his name, made the parody song after the media person referred to Obama as the magic *****. He or Rush or any other talk show host didnt actually come up with the phrase.
Ok I looked it up.. it was David Ehrenstein of the LA Times.
heres the article

That's an excellent question! First, let's do some background: on March 19 David Ehrenstein wrote an op-ed piece that appeared in the LA Times.
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oe-ehrenstein19mar19,0,5335087.story?coll=la-opinion-center
In it he used the phrase "Magic *****" to describe Barack O'Bama. As he explained in the column, the phrase "Magic *****" has a rich history, mostly cinematic, to describe a certain type of stereotypically benign, helpful black person who shows up to help the white protagonist. The basic point of the article was that white people who vote for Barack will be doing so to assuage white guilt, rather than because they agree with him politically.
That being said, the answer to your question of who created the actual phrase "Barack the Magic *****" is Rush Limbaugh. He's the one who had the phrase put to the tune of "Puff the Magic Dragon" with Al Sharpton singing it. It's pretty darn funny, too.

I first heard the song being performed by "Mr. Snerdly" on the Rush LImbaugh show. "Mr. Snerdly" is, of course, not the mans real name. He is Rush's lead engineer on the show, is black, and performed the song after taking great pains to announce that he is black. I don't know who actually wrote the tune, but searching Rush's website may produce more results.

As far as I know you started it. I'd never heard it before now. I'm a white male between the age of 18 and 65. I'm not allowed an opinion on what is racist and what is not. As Jessie or Al, they should know.

The phrase was from a racist -neo conservative talk show host, (I forget which one ) who did a song by that name set to the tune of Peter, Paul, and Mary's "Puff the magic dragon"

Yes, it's absolutely racist. Probably started by some red neck KKK member or other similar lame brained idiot with the IQ of a dead plant.
