Anyone who thinks that Hillary won't make every effort to ban personal possession of firearms by law-abiding citizens is either deluded or simply uninformed. She and Bill Clinton have been at it forever, with the help of Democrat senators Diane Feinstien, Charles Schumer, Ted Kennedy, Chris Dodd, Carl Levin, John Kerry, Claire McCaskill, and Representatives Barbara Boxer and Caroline McCarthy.
Caroline McCarthy (D-NY) is even trying to bring back and augment the defunct and misleading Clinton "assault weapons" ban, which attempted to identify many common sporting firearms as "assault weapons". The McCarthy bill is scary. For instance, it would ban ALL semi-automatic shotguns, including the beloved Brownings, Winchesters, and Remingtons used by sportsmen all over America. Do you remember John Kerry posing with a shotgun and pretending to be a hunter? Surprise! It was a Remington, one of the models that HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO BAN even while he posed with it. Is there any greater hypocrisy?
In fact, the "Democratic" party leadership has very few leaders that support personal ownership of firearms. If you doubt this, just check their ratings at the NRA website. The vast majority of them have an "F" rating, versus "A" ratings for the vast majority of Republican leaders. That's a fact.

I am an American and I do not want Hillary Clinton to be my president in 2008 or any other year for that matter.

None....But the bad guys sure will.
Wow just think about it...I had an intruder in my garage, called the police...and by the time they arived (with all the commotion the dogs raised) he (or she) was gone... I was lucky (or should I say the intruder was lucky) I do not ever want to have to shoot another human being but break in to my house and you're probably dead....
Imagine if just one Good ol' Boy (or girl) VT student or faculty member had a gun to bring down that sadistic freek of a human. "HOW MANY LIVES COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED". Think about it.... We have the right to keep and bear arms (or do we). I agree that violent offenders should not be allowed to carry a gun but eroding the rights of good people is BS.

First of all you need to understand that a law like that would have to first come out of a commitee and then pass through two branches of Congress with a 2/3 majority.... I really don't see ever happening no matter who the president is!!

Adolph Hitler took all the guns from the German people when he took power, I think Adolph Hillary would try the same kind of thing and for the same reason. So no one could stand up to the Socialist when they try to seize total power and make the United States of America the United Socialist States of America!

Keep on dreaming.
This has about the same likelihood as a real tax break for the middle class being signed into law by George W. Bush.
That's all this is, talk.
The courts have already defined the right to bear arms. Nothing is going to change that.

When the Constitution was wrote, there weren't thugs running around or people with malicious intent to rob you or kill you for no reason. Also, they didn't have guns that could kill a hundred people in 2 minutes. Guns were used back then for hunting. Maybe society needs to quit whining about the right to bear arms and put their energy into preventing good kids turning bad. All of us start out the same, an embryo. The way we are raised has a lot to do with who we are. Parents need t raise kids right and maybe we could get rid of those who want to hurt us.

1) Criminals prey on unarmed people.
2) Criminals don't follow gun laws.
3) There are tens of millions of guns in America. It is unrealistic to try to get rid of them. (One survey showed 39% of families in the U.S. own a gun)
ONE LIST OF ILLEGAL ALIENS' WEAPONS.
" U.S. authorities announced they had seized two homemade bombs, materials for making 33 more, military-style grenades, 26 grenade triggers, large quantities of AK-47 and AR-15 assault rifles, 1,280 rounds of ammunition, silencers, machine gun assembly kits, 300 primers, bulletproof vests, police scanners, sniper scopes, narcotics and cash." http://www.tmcnet.com/usubmit/2006/02/10/1360221.htm
