Let us say you have Rick Republican vs Danny Democrat and the polls say D leads by 3 points, but the margin of error is 3.5%. Exactly what does this mean?

Then lets say that the polls state that D leads 46-43%.

1. Who leads?
2. By how much?
3. Who is the likely winner?

First one that gets all 3 right wins 10 points.

MSNBC, Nov 3, 2004: $3,000,000,000 bond issue (Proposition 71 to fund embryonic stem cell research) was passed by California voters. No positive results two years later. Why should Missouri go BEYOND this with an irreversible CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT to fund embryonic stem cell research, when ADULT stem cell research has already proven effective on many diseases and infirmities, and is improving at a swift pace?

"I'm sick and tired of a bunch of despicable Republicans who will not debate real policy, who won't take responsibility for their own mistakes, standing up and trying to make other people the butt of those mistakes," he said. "It disgusts me that a bunch of these Republican hacks who've never worn the uniform of our country are willing to lie about those who did."

Should there be a law in place to not allow politicians to accept money from corporations, or special intrest ?

Make a set amount to be donated from a politician, and what he gets is what he gets. I think this will force political leaders to focus more on what the citizens want, and their veiws will go along with what they are in support of, which will show when the donations come flowing in.

Polls are not very reliable, but they were very skewed until recently, when they began to even out a bit as the election nears. Lose one, and if so which one, or lose both, or lose neither. Your thoughts?

The last 2 elections have been very disgusting. All these smear campaigns and undemocratic plays have destroyed our republican democracy. I'm working to help our voters to look for a third choice and the only way we, the voters who swing the votes every election, can do this is by uniting. We need to fight the duopoly by having a package that allows for electoral reform like doing away with unopposed districts, allow for lower thresholds to be on the ballot, open up to IRV, allow for the use of multimember districts and proportional representation systems and fair elections. We seriously need a third party that can finally represent what us voters want! Remember: the Republicans did away with fusion voting& they started the whole ballot access thresholds. They were a third party before they won and maybe they closed the doors of democracy to third parties. We all must fight for our rights to have many choices when we vote, we should make the choices not the politicians.

John Kerry degrades and humiliates miltary personnel, and Charlie Rangel calls VP Cheney a S.O.B. Where is the dignity, ethics and humility?
And these are the people who would like to regain their political power next week. Will we allow this?

It goes like this, Kerry called Bush stupid. Bush in turn didn't understand that Kerry called him stupid and is demanding that Kerry apologize to the troops for calling Bush stupid.

How long will they continue to do this?

The Democrats went through a stage where they became bloated and corrupt. The Republicans are going through the same stage. Power does corrupt. I would vote Republican if there were candidates like Wayne Morse and Tom McCall(I'm from Oregon, we are different out here) on their side of the ledger. The only Republican of stature who shows any independence is John McCain. The conservative base does not like him. Too independent.

Not simply because of what happened in Fla a few years back, but for other reasons too...
1. many of your elderly aren't used to computers and it's easy to make a mistake(and there are people at the polls ready to help)
2. many people didn't do well in school and can't read well - therefore would be less likely to use them and more likely to be afraid of things they aren't used to(my husband would be one of those)
3. People are Making these computers and computers can be "fixed" easier.
What do you think?
