MSNBC, Nov 3, 2004: $3,000,000,000 bond issue (Proposition 71 to fund embryonic stem cell research) was passed by California voters. No positive results two years later. Why should Missouri go BEYOND this with an irreversible CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT to fund embryonic stem cell research, when ADULT stem cell research has already proven effective on many diseases and infirmities, and is improving at a swift pace?

It was just a political boondoggle. Whatever chances there are for research advances would go forward with private R&D money. When they do make a breakthru, we will still pay thru the nose for the drugs.
