It almost seems that way because most Iraqis did not care if the Candidate they voted for Won or Lost, they were glad they at least got to have a say in the 1st place.

However in America there are those (especially Liberal Democrats) who whine that elections were stolen when their choice of Candidate loses cause they cannot get over the fact that there are many people who didn't like the loser (a good example is Gore and Kerry were both unpopular).

They all also believe in one God and the judgement day but still they all are the worste enemies of each other. Cannot they live peacefully?? as one tribe which they actually are????

Reagan was the last sitting Pres. to extend the voting rights act, due to an election, as Bush has done this time around. What is wrong with American to denie the right to African American their given right, as others, why keep the punishment going on till the next 25 years when the voting rights act will not be extended due to the fact the many young african americans will not have the same motivation as members of the 50's and 60's civil rights movement...due to die at the hands to American congressman. Then this is apparent as to what the real future agenda is. Are African Amerians pose the real threat to American? How about China, Japan, Mexico, Canada born in this country. You Americans need to wake up! You are attacking the wrong culture.

SO tell me - what do you think it will take to Wake Amercans up, so that they fully understand the war on terror and what it potentially means for the future of America / democracy?

It seems that a large percentage of our population does not have a realistic understanding of what we as a nation are up against in this war. It's almost as if they think that it's just a little skirmish that won't affect their lives, when the truth is that our freedoms are under full scale attack.

Will it take another 911? Perhaps a nice little biological / radiological attack on LA would do it. Maybe Americans would wake up if they got up tomorrow morning to find that Chicago had been vaporized by a black market nuclear bomb. Or, would they?

I am pretty damn convinced that it is going to take QUITE A SHOCK to wake Americans up because we have become TOO DAMN SPOILED! So long as we have our cars, our gas to run them, our jobs and our exhalted oracles of propaganda (ie TV), then we are happy.

I live in Gwinnett Co. GA. It is my first time as juror. I would have served the summon but that specific date (Monday!) is extremely important that I be at work. There is no space in the letter where I can fill out to be excused or anything. In what cases is jury duty excused?

What is your favorite way to help your community? I don't have a lot of money, but I want to make where I live a better place. I do the obvious stuff; I donate blood, I drop my change in the little charity coin collectors...

What is a good way to give back?

sounds like a waste of time in my life... even if i do believe in justice, but why take me away from my life when there's plenty of people who would love to take my place.

I know this will never fly in the U.S., but one can wonder. What if to vote in any election above the local level, one would have to have one of the following: 1) a Bachelor's degree, 2) an IQ in at least the 75th percentile of adults(extremely generous), 3) or the successful completion of an introductory class on government, politics, and political parties.

In addition, 1) real term limits would be instituted(no more 80 year old senators) and 2) the process for 3rd pary candidates would be simplified.

I honestly believe we would get a much better result than what we get now. What do you think? As Americans we love picking the best for our Olympic teams, elected representatives, etc. What would be wrong with being a little more selective in who decides our leadership?
