Are you supposed to report on a particular day, or just fill out a form. It may be that nothing will happen if you don't fill out the form. You have to find out.
If you actually are instructed to report, again you might want to check out what happens if you don't. It could range from nothing to being arrested and fined.
If you want to change dates, call the clerk of the court, or go down and report your problem well before the day you are supposed to report. Almost always you will be able to change the period when you have to report for jury duty, if you have a valid reason.
People are usually excused if they would experience undue hardship if they had to serve (not just inconvenience)
for example being sole person caring for invalid or young child,
sole breadwinner, etc. Depends on jurisdiction. Someone at the courthouse can probably help you.

If you actually make thousands in a day you can afford to miss work. Get off your rear end and do your civic duty. Most cases are usually settled out of court so you probably won't even do anything. Show up and find out! If you are willing to serve at another time, call the court and tell them of your problem and ask if you can set another date for your service.

show up, and when asked, say things they will not like. such as you are racist, or you are gullible, or you dont pay attention well / have ADHD. you will get dismissed shortly.
also, you could call up the court and lie and say you don't live in the county anymore - find a friend or family member that will say you have moved in with them. jury duty is usually a county thing so if you no longer live there, you are not obligated to show up.

They would not even let my attorney out of jury duty for job reasons. He had to reschedule dozens of appointments & 2 trials.
Good luck getting out.
My husband has 120 employees & they made him serve too.
They did excuse him after 3 hours - my brother was murdered, so we believe in death penalty. I guess the defense did not agree. LOL
Remember lie & get caught - the Judge can jail you for contempt.

Different states have different rules. There should have been a phone number on the summons that you can call for information. Call it and see if you have a good reason to opt out.

I have Urothelial Carcinoma, I sent in the paper work of what I have. I'm told I need a personal note from the Dr.
A note from my Dr.? You have to admire our local government for not TRUSTING its own tax paying citizens.

Did you phone the courts to say you would not be in and why? If not then you could well be done with contempt of court which depending on how the judge feels could be a spell in pokey or a fine or a slapped wrist.
