Just wanted to know your thoughts. Patriot Day is congressionally September 11th. It's been going on since 2001.

Back on July 4th 1776 when signing the Declaration of Independence, they probably didn't think everyone would get the day off work in the US far down the road.

Both Dems and Reps both flip on issues all the time....Their goal is to win elections and they are going to take sides that they think will do that. Usually the opposite of the other....but both sides switch points of view and say different things. Does anyone else see that. It is our job as voters to look at both sides and use what limited information we have to make a decision...not take a side and then find info to support....agree or disagree? be honest and don't just defend your party because its what you are suppose to do...

recently relocating to the Central Florida area, during the move I lost my wallet.I have been to the DMV and turned away for lack of a birth cert. I have been turned away from the SS office to get a duplicate card for lack of a photo ID, I can't get a birth cert. with out a photo ID, I am in a vicious circle or a catch 22, with no help or word of advise from the above agencies, they all just look at me sympatheticaly, shaking their heads, and say.."I know, I know..."What can I do, where can I go? I need to get a job, and can not because of lack of identity.

New Labour, Liberal Democrat, Conservative, BNP, UKIP, Green, Monster Raving Loony Party, etc, etc?

I've voted Liberal Democrat and Green recently, but I don't really feel there's a party out there that truly represent my beliefs. Labour would have been the closest, although still a compromise, but I'm not voting for them again after Iraq, amongst other things.

So where do your allegiences lie?

ive traveled the rails in a certain bay area and this is what i herd. there is no possible way to avoid conflict . we the people of the BAY AREA have , by majority , ruled that its all vs. those that choose to worship a certain number than the rules of the game. by getting off first they have broken a long understood agreement and have tried to place themselves above all other people and their gods. its agreed that as many cultures before ours chose death over enslavement we will fight to the death to ensure that this group of malcontents will never over rule the public in general. and since they are so adamant in taking everything thry can from everybody they can we will be as adamant in our refusal to recognize them as upstanding members of our communities. please bay areans correct me if i am wrong.

President Bush has been making public statements lately (e.g. on the campaign trail for candidates) to this effect: Since 9/11, we have made America safer, but Americans are not yet safe.

Setting aside ugly name-calling, what do you self-described liberals and conservatives (and anyone else) think would make Americans safe? What would it mean for this objective to be met? I hope we can ALL agree that we all want to be safe - that's fair, isn't it?

So, please answer as AMERICANS and not as people arguing for who should be elected. BEST ANSWER will have NO gratuitous labeling of one side or the other politically.

Just describe what YOU think the country and the world would look like, and what our lives would be like, in order for Americans to be safe.

We have the abbility and technology to be self sufficinet in our society but we are not, do people think this is a dodgy situation for the future?
We could provide all our own energy, food and products for everyday life, but the government and ourselves are reliant on other countrys for food and energy. Is this a danger to our survival and futures.

I dont know where to put this question, but here it is. I was interested in obtaining a concealed weapon permit, So i can carry my pistol around for self defence Anyways, a long time ago I was going thru some teenage BS and got myself sent to a mental hospital on 2 occasions, for 10 and 14 days respectively. I was diagnosed with depression. This was when I was 14ish, I am now older and I feel that I am no longer in the same predicament i was in... What I want to know is will that haunt me for the rest of my life, Or will I be able to buy a handgun and get it legal to carry permit? it is very worrying for me, as this is the only black spot on my record. It was a LONG time ago but i am still afraid it will negatively affect my life. Please try to provide a link to your answer. I dont know if i need to state anything else, just ask if i do

There is no law that requires us to pay income tax! It's not there. The country is run by a small group of bankers. We are just pawns in there eyes. They want us to be stupid so that we do not question their authority. There is NO LAW! Its scary to think of what our world will be 25 years from now. Let it be known, let us not be merely sheep and follow the flock. We have to think and act! They'll say that we are crazy, and slander us to make us look dumb. Thats because they can't debate us on this issue because there is no law that requires americans to pay income tax. tax.http://www.freedomtofascism.com/

I'm doin g a research project (in America) for my AP US gov class, and I was writing the sentance

"We aught to realize how lucky we are; instead of filling in the bubble for the candidate who has more commercials (or just sitting at home on election day), making an educated choice..."

anyways, then I thought about it: do you really fill in a bubble, or do you write the guys name, or what? Sorry, I know, weird/stupid question. But since I'm only 15 (tomorrow), I wouldn't know.

Thanks!
