It may. If the Republicans make Texas look bad enough. It used to be a blue state actually. Especially right after the Civil War. If it's possible to switch from blue to red then there's no reason for it not to happen the other way around.

Texas isn't probable to pass blue at any element in the close to destiny--Romney carried the state via basically below 16 percentage factors, and Bush carried it via very nearly 23 factors in '04. The common sense in the back of the 'Texas ought to nicely be a blue state' idea, is that there are various of Hispanics in Texas who do not finally end up, and who ought to very probable vote Democratic in the journey that they did pass to the polls. Over the destiny this reality and replacing Demographics ought to turn the state blue, notwithstanding the couple of minutes period stressful situations of having that many human beings to the polls are huge, and Democrats are more effective probable to attempt to win different states. as a rule nonetheless, if Texas will develop right into a swing state, then the Republican social gathering's probabilities of triumphing nationwide elections will shrink to bigger or less 0--if that takes position then a lot of a lot less conservative places are probable to vote Democrat, and there is not any longer most of the country it really is more effective conservative than Texas. If issues ever were provided that undesirable for Republicans that they'd be compelled to modify their message to ward off nationwide political irrelevance.

Tax cuts have been a signature issue of Bush's presidency, even as unemployment rises, the cost of war increases, and the government incurs heavy deficit spending. The Texas Republican Party Platform, 2002, calls for the elimination of income tax, inheritance tax, gift tax, capital gains, corporate income tax, payroll tax, and property tax along with the IRS. As the federal government becomes starved for funds, many of its functions would be taken over by churches. Bush's Faith Based Initiative combined with massive tax cuts is leading toward a transfer of the federal government to religious institutions.
Jim Wallis, editor of Sojourners, an evangelical Christian magazine that advocates social justice, writes in Dangerous Religion, George W. Bush's Theology of Empire, (Sept/Oct, 2003):
"The Bush theology deserves to be examined on biblical grounds. Is it really Christian, or merely American? Does it take a global view of God's world or just assert American nationalism in the latest update of 'manifest destiny?'"

Hopefully never. All those hispanic people coming into the state illegally, will move into those states that are willing to cater to them. Which is what they are already doing. Look at states that did not have a hispanic population to speak of 5 or 10 years ago, look at them today. They have an ever growing hispanic population.
Please do not miss understand me I don't have anything against population. I just expect them to come into the country legally.

Perhaps. It certainly has been a blue state much longer than it has been a red state. I believe that the legacy of LBJ still lives on.
