Sorry, but it seems that as we build upon our technology and effecient service, we are really finding new ways to execute the scam. Its just far to much nickel and diming amongst our selves to ensure our piece of the pie is bigger than the next. God Bless America for sure, but it seems just a bit to predatory in these waters. There are a lot of groups and organizations out there willing to take advantage of the less informed.
I mean why the hell must a GI or a store clerk be so damn intimidated by a tax form and then shell out at least 25 bucks to have their taxes done, and then think their preparers are miracle makers, its a sham. Why do predatory lenders exist abound around military towns. Or why must cable companies offer this crap VOIP service at the amazingly low price of 24.95 per month, when really the service produces virtually no overhead upon the cable company, they give you a box to convert your old phone, rah rah.
The changes to make, education after high school after high school should be mandatory (more realistically strongly encouraged and promoted), if not college, vocational with cirriculum on basic economics and budgeting, same for the military (get some freaking honest free advise to help these guys and girls have a running start while in and on the way out).
Last but least, and my personal favorite, extraordinary severe punishment for white-collar crime, particularly those cases involving the personal greed of one over many others. Mr. Kozlowski would not like bizzaro joes world.

All the really critically needed changes have been brilliantly presented in the new book Delusional Democracy - Fixing the Republic Without Overthrowing the Government. We need many electoral reforms, more citizen-driven ballot measures, and more support for third parties.

Stop the left wing America bashing College professor from filling the heads of the young with a load of garbage. It usually takes 5 years for the young to get out from under that grip once they join the real world.

I would find some way of making all illegal immigrants go back home. Mind you, I've lived with hispanics, generally like them, and speak some Spanish, so the "racist" bandwagon just makes people look stupid.
I would make a more blanket income tax (10% seems to work nicely) so the middle class could catch their breath and the rich wouldn't be so exempt.
I would make benefits more accessible to all instead of just minorities.

1. Establish a VAT tax system. Eliminate income taxes.
2. Establish basic medical care for everyone.
3. invest in the infrastructure
4. Establish a civilian work force to maintain America's treasures and provide vocational training for youth.
5. Establish one dollar a gallon gas tax to help fund energy and transportation research and development
6. Drastically reduce dangerous emissions.

I would have the government build 300 new nuclear power stations, associated waste reprocessing reactors and storage facilities for wastes that can't be recycled. This would be the first step in becoming energy independent.

i would take bush out of office cuz he sucks
legalize gay marriage (i'm not a lesbian i just think that if they love each other they should be able to get married)
i would rid of all drugs (pot, crack etc...)
I Would Ban Cigarettes in restraunts (cuz it's gross!!! wait nvrm i'll rid of ALL smoking)
i would make gas prices lower
i would make friend with all countries
i would rid of all weapons (guns and stuff)
and i would rid of ALL povrety
And i Would deport ALL sexual offeneders
