It is very easy. Just go to any registration place.. library, employment commission office, etc... and file out the form.

If you initially registered to vote as a member of one party, and now want to change to a different party, you'd go to the County Registrar of Voters to do that.

I live in a state (Virginia) where you don't have to declare a party affiliation for registering to vote. I would assume it's like any other information change, just go to your county voter registrars office to make the change.

You can go to the HQ of the party of your choice and re-register. My wife was a life long Republican till Lil "w" declared his daddy was buying him the white house. She's a card carrying Democrat now and is so radical it's funny.
I guess the old phrase reformed drunks and hookers (and in this case Republicans) are radical in their views.

Just decide to vote in favor of new candidates and don;t vote for those of your old party. Vote your conscience. In a primary you are limited to voting only one party.

It's more fun to vote cross party during elections to keep out incumbents. Then during the general election, vote your conscious.

Other than at a primary, you can vote for whoever you want.

There is no party requirement at the ballot box.
