It sickens me that I only hear people acknowledging the problems plaguing our country instead of actually doing something about them. When will it occur to them that simply talking about corruption and poverty won't get them anywhere?

ex. "that's what 'they' say." Why do "they" all say the same thing? Why does no one challenge them? What kind of conspiracy doesn't allow a debate over the topics that "they" are always so certain are cut just a certain way?

Why not include also, all local unnecessary deaths like, suicides, auto accidents, drug overdose deaths, murders and homicides, AIDS related deaths throughout the USA?At least the soldiers, when they die they fight with honor to defend our democracy and other peoples'.
So why not report also these many necessary deaths that happen locally, and compare. This way politicians and the press as well as the populace would open up their eyes and minds to see the truth.

Back in the late 60s the voting age was cut from 21 to 18. I know what the 18 year old men were doing to earn this privilege. They were subject to the military draft and fighting and dying. I never understood what the 18 years old women did to earn the privilege.

Government documents released by a Freedom of Information Act request reveal the Bush administration is running a "shadow government" with Mexico and Canada in which the U.S. is crafting a broad range of policy in conjunction with its neighbors to the north and south, asserts WND columnist and author Jerome R. Corsi.

A total of about 1,000 pages are among the first to be released to Corsi through his FOIA request to the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, or SPP, which describes itself as an initiative "to increase security and to enhance prosperity among the three countries through greater cooperation."

"The documents clearly reveal that SPP, working within the U.S. Department of Commerce, is far advanced in putting together a new regional infrastructure, creating a 'shadow' trilateral bureaucracy with Mexico and Canada that is aggressively rewriting a wide range of U.S. administrative law, all without congressional oversight. We read constantly about the widening divide between rich and poor, within the United States as well as between richer countries and poorer countries. But what has been done? What can be done to effectively close this divide?

With "pre-emptive strikes", ignoring international law, sequestering America from international court, G. Bush effectively votes for jungle in which USA is the biggest boy (for now). He has lots of support. Many dismiss UN as corrupt and ineffectual. Humanitarian work through UNESCO seems widely unvalued or criticised. General Assembly has no way of enforcing resolutions without US support, and they are frequently blocked in so-called Security Council anyway. So where from here? Choice is first; action or inaction follow. Do we just go with the flow?

I know people who consider themselves to be in the middle politically according to their standards but, in are actually liberal in what they believe. I'm curious to know what "foreign" or non-US citizens think is conservative politically or just plain conservative i.e. every day life styles, etc., etc. Thanks.

What has Bush done about the 400,000 dead there?
In Iraq over 300,000 civilians are dead, they are in fact liberated. Iraq is in civil war now. In Afghanastan the opium crop is up 60 percent and the Taliban has gained back most of what they lost.
BTW, Did you hear Bush say he did not understand "outrages on human dignaty". "what does that mean, it's vauge."

“I’m certain that if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled ‘Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States,’ he would have taken it more seriously than history suggests it was taken by our current president and his national security team,” she told reporters.

But he was Hillary! PDB 12/4/1998, Subject: Bin Ladin Preparing to Hijack US Aircraft and Other Attacks. In fact Clintons PDB was worse it had Sam missles being used also and was just 4 months after the Embassy bombings in Africa.. Other than that the reports are the same with vague information and that we (the FBI and CIA) are working on it.

One can compare the two PDBs in the 9/11 Commission report on pages128/129 and 261/262. If you don`t have the book you can see them at: http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/awcgate/whitehouse/pdb_6aug01.htm

I move to the north after a marriage but i prefer the US. I have been going to the UK and Aus sites on ask but I see so many US related questions on this site and so many negative US remarks.

Aus and the UK do not do this.

You all seem to have serious love hate relationship with us. You seem to love to call us names and then post soooo many questions about what you are studying about us.

Honestly it is a little odd.
