Because we, the people, are too disjointed and divided. Everyone who opposes Bush has not assembled or gathered together for effective political action. If there were a petition or some other referendum that managed to gather a majority number of votes of "no confidence" or "disapproval" and called for Bush to resign, that could effectively get him out of office. But there is not a strong enough move in that direction, because even the Democrats (who most would naively believe are their only option in getting Bush fired) do not wish to have the people themselves "take matters into their own hands" so to speak. That is what it would take to accomplish impeachment or removal of Bush at this point- no one should ever rely passively on the Democrats to ever have Bush removed, because in the end there are FAR TOO MANY deals and connections between Democrats and Republicans for Democrats to ever change the status quo like that. Never think for a second that the Democrats seriously want to "overturn the cart" so to speak. They are a huge part of this massive game we call the "Lobbying Game" in Washington D.C. which never changes, no matter who's in power.
Clinton, Bush, it's all the same, both parties are too enmeshed in Big Business and corporate politics and the game of "I scratch your back, you scratch mine". Washington has ceased being a capital of the People... it's only a capital of the Government and America and Co.
If you want real change, read up about how both parties are tied in to this game, and demand action at the local level by keeping your LOCAL politicians in control. Vote for them, then demand that your voice be heard. It's too far away and too distant (and the power difference between you too great) for you to demand change and representation in Washington anymore, it won't happen anymore... But you can elect your locals, and then keep them honest by committing to being involved in your local politics by writing letters, calling them up, attending public meetings, etc. And most of all- stay educated! Know what issues are out there! Know what they're trying to pass without your knowledge- and if you don't agree with it, call them on it! The response they make when you do may surprise you.

We are. The law suits are in the works now. After Democrats take back the Senate, you will see a new investigation of Bush and the Republicans like none in our History. Impeachment will be part of that process. Sept. 11th. will also be investigated again. This time fairly. The recording of Americans cell phones and Internet was clearly not legal when Bush did that act.

Because the majority in Congress is Republican and no matter what the Democrats or people want those in office will block it. United States has become, as far as leadership is involved, as undemocratic as Iraq. Hurry up Bush and get out of office so the United States can get back to a democratic style government!

We have been but the Repugs have complete control of the government right now, so great idea but no action. Fear of impeachment has been driving and will drive the Repugs to the bloodiest smear and mudslinging campaign you've ever seen, because if the Dems take control of either body of Congress, impeachment will be the first order of business.

To say he should be impeached because he has lied is ridiculous, every president in the short history of this nation has lied, and many times. The simple fact that we vote a politician into the presidency or any other office is our own fault, there is absolutely no significant difference between a democrat and a republican. Neither one does anything for the good of the people, they do things that will further their personal agenda's, further their parties chances of re-election and always end up screwing one group or another.

Just vote for an opponent in the next general election. There isn't enough support for a successful impeachment. Remember, the opposition to President Clinton couldn't even get an impeachment for the obvious immoral and dishonest behavior he exhibited in the Oval Office.

Kids, no matter what anyone tells you, Bill Clinton was NOT impeached for "lying about sex".
He was impeached for perjury (lying under oath about a material matter) and for suborning perjury (causing someone else to lie under oath about a material matter) and obstruction of justice (trying to keep a court of law from doing its job).
He stated on national television that all of the facts necessary to find him guilty of all three were true.
He was acquitted by the Senate, but the Arkansas Supreme Court found enough merit to the charges to cause him to surrender his license to practice law in lieu of being disbarred.
Those are all facts you can check on the internet from official sources, you don't have to take my word for it.

I don't believe that George Bush has ever lied. He is protecting our country by keeping terrorists out , as much as possible. He and our Armed Forces are our Heroes. George Bush has been president through one of the toughest times in American history due to the fact that the terrorists don't even care about their own lives and much less ours.
Do you remember Bill Clinton's " I never had sex with that woman."?.....He was never impeached and even was elected for a second term. This sexual fiasco that he was involved in happened in "our" White House

It has already been proven in a congressional hearing that he did not intintionally lie, what about when Former president Bill Clinton said all the same things about WMD but did nothing about it so get off the liberal bandwagon. I do not agree with everything he has done for instance; I don't think he is doing enough on sealing off our borders but he is the first president to do anything at all on the issue. I think he has shown courage to make the tough decisions that need to be made and follow through with them and I believe that is why liberals try to discredit him so much to prevent another republican from getting in office.
