i bought a house in the u.k.I was told i would get the keys in june unless there were any "unforseen circumstances"....The development has been halted because of contamination on site, the builder was warned abiout the contamination prior to building the houses, but continued against the advice of the local council....The delay has been ongoing for 6 months, this is not what i call"unforseen circumstances"...infact these circumstances were totally "forseen" and "forewarned" in my opinion.......can any leagl expert out there tell me if i have a claim for compensation against the builder?

The day I became a citizen I almost didn't! I had been waiting for a while for a notification letting me know if I passed the testst and criteria, so on a Friday morning this June I asked my husband if he had seen anything coming from the USCIS and he said yeah a few day's ago, I left it on the kitchen table for you tosee. Our kitchen table is a catch-all you can find everything and anything there. So I open it and oh surprice! It was that very day. it was 7:00am and I had to be in another city 1.5 hrs away in exactly ONE hour. So I panic, call my job tell them what's going on, fax them the letter so they believe me. Get the kids ready, a two and a half year old and a 5 month old and of we go, no time to bring them to daycare so they'd have to go with us to the ceremony. I was the last one they were waiting for. then I had to wait for another 15 minutes, I go to a small interview and then of to the room to make the oath etc. with the other 10 to 20 people becoming citizens that day!

If I have a lease agreement in the state of Texas in an apartment, and I leave out someone's name as an occupant, what will happen if they find out he is living there? Do they kick you out of the apartment? Or do they give you a certain amount of days to put that person on the lease agreement?

Who agrees with that new law that arnold schwarzenegger passed in the public schools?
There is a law out there that was just signed and goes into effect Jan. First 2008. This is not a joke.
Visit www.brittanypoullath.com for news updates. She'll have a link to the actual bill posted later today November, 28, 2007.

But in short the bill is this: It allows any student in the california public school system to enter the bathroom and locker rooms of the opposite sex because they perceive themselves to be the opposite sex or they feel they relate better to the opposite sex.

MEANING: If a BOY feels he is a GIRL or relates better to girls then he can use their bathrooms and locker rooms.
It's sounds crazy but its true.

This is merely out of curiosity.

Your neighbor Jack, age 50, works for DPS, a delivery company in Phoenix. Recently he was told that DPS was downsizing. Workers under the age of 55 were given help writing their resume, finding new jobs and a buyout equivalent to 3 months salary to help until they find work. Workers 55 and older were asked to take a one time bonus check of $1000 and asked to sign away their right to sue the company for any reason. In your perception, what is happening here? If you were 55, would you take the $1000 and sign the agreement?

I've read numerous slurs against blacks, gays, whites, politicians, other Y!A users. I've seen "I hate you" said to people they don't even know personally. I've gotten the "people like you..." replies from both sides in the past 24 hours.

Do you think the policies of who can hate the most is the prevailing trend in America today? Why do you think this is? Or is it just keyboard confidence?

Rove was telling Charlie that the war resolution vote was held before the 2002 elections by Congress' choice.
Here's the video:

http://thinkprogress.org/2007/11/22/rove-lies-iraq-war-vote/

In Sept. 2002 Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) asked Pres. Bush to delay the vote on the Iraq war.
"I asked directly if we could delay this so we could depoliticize it. I said, "Mr. President, I know this is urgent, but why the rush? Why do we have to do this now? He looked at Cheney and looked at me, and there was a half-smile on his face. And he said: 'We just have to do this now.'"

President Bush explicitly told Congress:
My answer to Congress is they need to debate this issue and consult with us, and get the issue done as quickly as possible. It's in our national interests that we do so, I don't imagine Saddam Hussein sitting around, saying, gosh, I think I'm going to wait for some resolution.
